Just scrap the law, simply get the best First XV on the park, it’s that simple and we haven’t been doing this for a while. The socceroos don’t have this law, no other sport has this eligibility rule, it’s a global game. The only negative for me would be the cohesion with players coming home to play overseas, but if the socceroos can do it, so can the wallabies. Having Australian players who have won the European Rugby player of the year (i.e. Scott Fardy) not allowed to play for Australia back in the day is simply madness and doesn’t make sense.

Speaking of Cheika – is he coming back to manage the Tahs next season as he is off-contract? Could do a with a seasoned coach. He has Sualli’s ear too.
