There is no watershed , Australia are the ” New England ” , that is paradoxically the old England who gallantry try their best but aren’t blessed with sound rugby practitioners , brains and decent coaches . As for the All Blacks , there must be real concerns at how shoddy their defense has become? To beat a rabble like Australia in a fortified fortress by 6 points tells you their game has flaws .

Was that a watershed moment for the Wallabies?

Forget the House of Pain – this game has the makings of a Stephen King Classic , Gold Slaughterhouse . See the sporting world from a truly terrifying point of view……….NZ by 35

Wallabies vs All Blacks Bledisloe Cup second Test preview and prediction

The kid should be on the set of Home and Away , not an All Black Cathedral !

Bledisloe blowout a damning indictment of Australian rugby

So much for Beveridge being Joda – wise and powerful with mystical energies. The only correlation is in appearance and he lost credibility when he recruited the basket case that is Travis Cloke .

“I certainly have not seen a first XV England team with such a poor skill set.”

Lol , you obviously did not attend Lang Park in 1998 when England got beaten 76-0 by Australia. That England team was so ranc they made Italy look like the All Blacks…..

Lynagh him up as the next ARU CEO

A start would be dropping the name NSW – Welshmen , doesn’t exactly instill fear into big, skillful, fearless Queenslanders ! Indeed, being called a Welshman is at the bottom of the totem pole in the UK , sad but true.

By your reckoning 230,000 Australians must of turned their back on Oz by going to the UK to broaden horizons – better jobs , lucrative salaries , career progression , family , love interests and most notably culture . You do know that Australia is a British colony founded on English institutions . A lot of Australians are British by decenct , so invariably ” turning their back ” is a misnomer. Besides , Lynah would be an asset to Australian Rugby based on what he has learnt in England on all fronts .

Lynagh him up as the next ARU CEO

Two little pip squeaks who in the real world of aggression and violence would by thrown out the door by two oversize club bouncers , really scary fellows these two. I’d back Gallen and SBW to show these midgets the door………..

The hype is nearly over for the supposed fight of the century

Yes an absolute disgrace as a board member! Eales is nothing but a ” yes man” who’s only agenda is self serving . Eales reminds me of a Private School Headmaster consumed by self importance and status . John would not dare rock the boat as he is to Holy for that.

Wallabies stick with similar team for Bledisloe 2

Spot on Chris .

Sheedy could only ever play one position , back pocket – unlike Roos who could play and dominate anywhere on the field . Sheedy was a one trick pony and overstayed his time at Essendon by a decade !

Is John Eales the most uninspiring sportsman off the field in the history of world wide sports and humanity ? Phlegmatic , insipid , manufactured , sterile ………the personality of an indoor plant! Freud would also call him ana$$y repressed .

If you have heard Folau interviewed you will realize immediately he is not the sharpest knife in the draw . Like most great athletes a fine physical specimen however , requires an upgrade on the evolutionary scale pertaining to other matters.

The Oracle Cheika says ” Its an opportunity for Simmonds to put his foot down now ”

Simmons has played 72 tests of which I have probably missed viewing six . That leaves 66 tests I have never ever seen him dominate a lineout or play around the ground . Cheika maintains he is a good line out caller and organizer however, there is no use being a good caller if you can’t get off the ground . 5’10 Aussie Rules players can jump higher than Simmonds and in the loose he hits rucks with the impact of a pop gun………cork and all !

Cheika is as useless as two tit$ on a bull……..

Of course Pulver did not reply – jealous Lynah is a better businessman than him, probably a lot richer to !

'Yeah, well, that's like your opinion man': Cheika cops Lynagh's blast

No – he is in England chasing pounds as a Stock Broker . I believe he is now a Managing Director of a trading company – he would be worth quite a bit as this has been his vocation since he left Rugby . Very respected in the business community in London.

Yes there are three selectors at Origin and Kevvie opted not to play Slater in game one – he made that quite clear by stating that he thought Slater was “underdone” even though he was tracking very well with the Storm. Ultimately, the coach has the final say who plays and Kevvie mad a boo boo in game one. Anyway , I sincerely hope he succeeds as he appears to be a cracking bloke, just think he may be out of his depth over 26 weeks.

Kevin Walters must try to raise the Titanic

Very dubious about Walters getting GC position . As Kevvie stated on NRL 360 , Billy Slater saved his Origin job by turning it on in style in game 2 and 3 and only a peanut would not of played Slater in game 1. In fact , the general feedback is that it is Slater in Camp who really gets the Maroons going , not Kevvie .

Undoubtedly Walters is a good disciplinarian and respected by his peers – he is very likeable and amicable however , under the media spotlight he presents as not the sharpest knife in the draw . Indeed , my cat has more guile , attitude and cunning smarts than the little Queenslander. Being a good bloke who likes a beer with his players doesn’t cut it in the NRL any more – as a head coach you have to be the complete package and have an unrelenting hard edge to succeed , ala Bellamy and Bennett , brazen winners . Unfortunately Kevvie Walters does not resemble in nature, attitude or smarts either of the mentioned Head Coaches . If appointed it will be an ongoing train wreck !

Rod Kafer – surely you are being facetious ?

Israel Folau: Rugby's most overrated player?

Skelton wouldn’t make the Maori 3rd team – that’s how good Saracens are! And while I am on the topic , Canterbury would bury Saracens by 35 plus points…….easy !

Time's up for the Cheika dictatorship

If Collingwood had won three in a row like the Hawks , membership would be at 250k . There are over 1.5 million Collingwood supporters Nationwide . Imagine the hysteria around three Premierships , would be unparalleled in Australian sport .

Do you think most League supporters know that Australian Rules invented State of Origin football a long , long time ago . It use to be the highlight of the sporting calendar – rushing home after school and seeing the likes of Jonny Platten , Steve Kernham and Craig Bradley take on the Big V – just awesome players and packed to the rafters . Teddy Whitten VS Neil Kerley- hilarious !

Another variable may be that Sydney is an outdoor lifestyle City and many folks may prefer to exercise themselves than simply viewinfpg sport. Growing up in Melbourne in the 70’s there was FA to do other than go to the footy in the midst of freezing weather . Melbourne is not blessed with Sydney’s geography so you go to the footy or go shopping .

I disagree with Mary – not less than 30 years ago the NRL use to get very good crowds , people loved attending the suburban grounds , they felt apart of Rugby League . The NRL today has simply dropped the ball , no pun intended . They have failed to identify with grass roots supporters and listened to their needs . As a result , attendances today are embarrassing for the NRL and the AFL has offered youngsters a highly organized alternative .

If that is the case then why are all the stands empty ? Why are kids who stem from generational League families playing Auskick . Why are Gary Jacks sons playing AFL ? Why are there AFL grounds all over SE Queensland ? Why are there two AFL teams in Sydney with buckets of money and juniors filling seats ?

The NRL doesn’t send the right messages a lot of the time – that’s why young parents and their kids are not turning up and abandoning the game . It’s a real shame as it is a magnificent sport and deserves to be a global showcase !
