OK souvalis, calm down mate. Put your head between your legs and take deep breaths. I just always figured you were a Roosters supporter with some of the statements you’ve made in the past in relation to the Rabbitohs.

The Sharks, like Souths, are well and truly under the salary cap.

In regards to your Avatar question, with no salary cap ceiling the chooks are gonna need a bigger boat for all the money they have to spend over the salary cap.

Good luck to your Sharks. If they can’t beat the Dragons this week Shark alarms should be sounding right across Sutherland shire!

Can Brad Arthur’s Eels win the premiership?

No problems Dwayne. I wasn’t having a go at you mate. Only TB takes a debate as a personal attack which spirals out of control because of his cognitive dissonance shutdown. 👍

Can Brad Arthur’s Eels win the premiership?

That’s easy to say when your club (Roosters) doesn’t have a salary cap to operate under and are frequently in excess of the salary cap restricting other clubs. I guess a $2M – $4M advantage helps.

Even so, the Roosters fell short last year even with that advantage and got annihilated by the Rabbitohs in round 20, 60-8.

I guess there are some things even an invisible salary cap ceiling just can’t fix. And when it rains it pours. So watch out souvalis, the Bunnies are hungry for chicken again in 2021! 😂

Can Brad Arthur’s Eels win the premiership?

“It about ladder position at end of year” So if a side finishes outside the top 4 on the NRL ladder and gets to the GF like the Bulldogs did in 2014 that doesn’t count? The fact that they finished the season as Grand Finalists is immaterial, is that what you are saying Dwayne?

How about if a side finishes outside the top 4 and goes on to win the premiership? Is that any good? The last time a club was awarded the premiership for finishing on top of the ladder without a GF was in 1937. That was 84 years ago Dwayne! Before that there was only 1 premiership decided by the “first passed the post” system with no GF (in 1925) in a 15 year period going back to 1921. That’s 3 years after World War I Dwayne since that system was common practice.

Q.E.D. finals finishes are of greater importance than where a team finishes on the NRL ladder in any given year.

Hmm, “Blue sunset”? Catchy phrase Nat. You should copyright that. Presently my lawyers are investigating if there has been a copyright infringement on my #Blue Dawn.

I understand your desire to “Make Queensland Great Again” given the Broncos maiden wooden spoon but just don’t get too used to that trophy being on the wrong side of the QLD/NSW border. It’s coming back to NSW in 2021. You can keep the wooden spoon though! 😂 😂 😂

Not a bad effort for “the worst QLD side in Origin history” I’ll grant you that.
Still, the Blues had game 1 and therefore the series, until the Maroons committed multiple professional fouls on the final play the ball with about 8 players running in from as far as 10 metres away and diving on the tacked player. It was like someone called “Free beers!” at the Caxton Hotel.
Nat, I haven’t seen that many flops back-to-back since the Disney Star Wars sequel trilogy!
Worse, Tedesco actually played the ball BEFORE the clock reached zero (at about the 2 second mark) but the ref was told in his ear piece to blow the whistle early. A wide shot showed that NSW had 6 on 3 and if the play had continued, which it should have, blind freddie could have breached QLD’s depleted defence.
A New Blue Dawn is coming Nat in 2021. Just as long as QLD don’t close their borders again to prevent that from happening.
#2nd Blue Dawn!

Beware the Ides of March Caesar?

Can Brad Arthur’s Eels win the premiership?

“I’ve no idea what this piece is about, other to dump on a Club and their coach.” Is there solid evidence for that charge Paul? Or is it just a case of if the glove fits O.J.? 😂

Can Brad Arthur’s Eels win the premiership?

“so what does that say about the other 13 coaches who finished below Parra?” Does that include Bennett and the Rabbitohs, Paul? After all, the Bunnies smashed the Eels 38-0 in round 16 and 38-24 without Latrell Mitchell in the elimination semi-final. They also progressed to the prelim final, their second prelim final under Bennett. How many of those has Brad Arthur taken the Eels to?

Scenic routes are generally regarded as being much more interesting so I’ll take that as a compliment. Cheers! 👍

Is that why there is so much noise coming from all those maroon jerseys in the stands at Suncorp during Origin Nat? 😂

Enjoy it Nat! I am yet to enter the hallowed coffin of Suncorp stadium where everyone is dead from the neck up. I plan to visit Suncorp stadium though for Magic Round if covid doesn’t ruin those plans.

Well are you the King of Hyperbole TB? Souths may have not won a premiership for 43 years between 1971 and 2014, but they did win plenty of games and made numerous finals appearances as you well know. Speaking of which, it has now been 17 years since the Dogs last won a premiership and only 6 years since the Rabbitohs last won a premiership. Context and facts are equally important TB.

There is a big screen replay available for the ref to have a quick look and decide themselves. Other than that playing on would have been best but as it proved both initial calls would have wrong.

“This captains challenge is supposed to prevent howlers,” So are video replays. Yet not one was shown from the reverse angle in the right-hand corner despite a camera being stationed there. Why? Not the bunker, just for the TV coverage. Why weren’t they keen to give us a look? It was a pretty quick decision for something neither official (ref or linesman) was well-placed to call. Like I said during the call though, Melbourne were the better team on the night for most of the 80 mins.

“How I feel about the Bulldogs has nothing to do with it…” It has everything to do with consistency though TB. I’ll be watching.

That is basically what old man Bennett said in the press conference. Souths had every opportunity to win that game despite an abysmal first 30 mins (which is also to the credit of the Storm for their energy execution, discipline and attitude). After their 3rd back-to-back try and following the Storm penalty goal the Rabbitohs looked like scoring their 4th back-to-back try but turned over possession earl

Cover your eyes CPB… @TB Says the man whose club has been still struggling for relevance since 2017. 😂 😂 😂

“I just don’t think getting the right decision by stopping the game for 3-4 minutes in the last 10 minutes is worth it” Until the Bulldogs get a crucial captains challenge call late in the game to springboard them to victory. You left that caveat out TB.

How many tackle restarts (six again’s) did you want the referee to give the Storm for these types of misdemeanours andrew? It gave the Storm the early advantage and early momentum that directly lead to their dominance on the scoreboard in the first 30 mins. Besides, arguing that the Storm were hard done by not receiving enough penalties for players continually lying over tackled players and slowing the play is a bit rich and quite ironic when you are arguing on behalf of the Storm, don’t you think?

From your profile photo andrew you appear to be an angry Dragon’s supporter who is still resentful of the last Charity Shield result. “something they’ve accused Melbourne of doing” Mate, EVERYONE has accused Melbourne of doing that with good cause. They are the pioneers of lying on top of tackled players, wrestling, the chicken wing, jui-jitsu moves and rorting the salary cap. But the Roosters have perfected the latter as they have not been caught as yet to date.

“Only Papa would argue that was a correct call.” It’s an “i” not an “a” for the last letter Nat. If that was Milford or Croft you would have had no trouble with it. It was in the same motion, and he did NOT extend his leg or foot. I think the call was good. Let’s see how you argue captain’s challenge tonight when the Broncos are making them.

Bad Rabbit habits return as life goes on for Storm in season opener

I hate the bunker too Tony, but I think the bunker or at least a reverse angle big screen replay would have shown that “Little Papy’s” try in the right corner was a No Try! I missed the bunker then. But for the rest of that game and the pre-season it has been good that the bunker’s involvement has been minimal.

“Captains Challenge doesn’t work for mine” Until it benefits the Bulldogs. Well, it worked pretty well for Souths and the Storm last night TB.

Milford is a FB. He doesn’t belong in the halves and on current form he isn’t worth over $400K a season. Surely THIS is the last season Milford has to prove himself at the Broncos. As reigning wooden spoon champs I don’t thing any of the Broncos have earned the right to feel happy about their football yet. They still have a lot to prove and the patience of Broncos fans as already worn thin.
