Don’t have a say. It will be a first for you. You have no problem critiquing every other aspect of the game.

The reality is, both will need to be better for their respective clubs. I suspect this won’t be the last time our two clubs meet this year.

Thankfully, Dempsey is likely to learn from it. Williams, yeah…. Nah. Mind you, I hope he stays in the Carlton side.

AFL News: 'Given it my all' - Crows great announces retirement, big-money Blue 'not hard enough'

Bloods and Port. I was quite young. Played all my junior footy at West Adelaide.

AFL News: 'Given it my all' - Crows great announces retirement, big-money Blue 'not hard enough'

Maybe, a knee injury didn’t help, but in all honesty… I wasn’t good enough.

Toughness has nothing to do with that, of course. There are slot of soft players in the AFL. Dempsey is one of them. He pulled up short in a contest late in the game, which you may have noticed. I certainly did and Scott won’t be impressed.

AFL News: 'Given it my all' - Crows great announces retirement, big-money Blue 'not hard enough'

Maybe, but I did play 89 games in the SANFL. Does that count as being tough?

I could also be making that up as a keyboard warrior. Maybe not. It still doesn’t change the fact that Williams is soft, and you’ve been whining non-stop since the Blues lost.

AFL News: 'Given it my all' - Crows great announces retirement, big-money Blue 'not hard enough'

It’s AFL, Macca. I could reverse that argument and say there are far tougher jobs than guys kicking a ball around.

It’s not that impressive. It’s nothing more than entertainment to me.
And yes, Williams is soft.

AFL News: 'Given it my all' - Crows great announces retirement, big-money Blue 'not hard enough'

He played for a free. He is soft.

Voss is the toughest player to ever play the game. Ask yourself: would Voss have gone down and cost his side a goal for being limp?

No. Make all the excuses you like. He is one of the reasons the Blues lost. He’s likely polishing Voss’ boots as we speak.

AFL News: 'Given it my all' - Crows great announces retirement, big-money Blue 'not hard enough'

Exactly.

It was a free, for sure, but Williams shouldn’t have gone to ground in the way he did. He played for it and it cost the Blues a goal.

It’s that simple, and Voss will know that. I’d be surprised if he didn’t give Williams 10 floggings himself behind closed doors.

AFL News: 'Given it my all' - Crows great announces retirement, big-money Blue 'not hard enough'

Definitely one the Cats should contest. That isn’t a fine.
Michael Christian even admits this in his finding: “incidental conduct, low impact and body contact.”

A free kick, maybe…but that’s about it.

What’s more concerning is how embarrassing Williams was. I’d suggest Voss won’t put up with him for much longer. He’s useless.

I actually think Seven’s camera work has vastly improved. It wasn’t that long ago they were using artistic camera angles from behind spectator’s heads to capture historic moments like Franklin’s 1000th goal.

Six Points: Channel 7's commentary, the AFL's most underrated coach, and what on earth is wrong with a draw?

You like to flip-flop with your articles, Tim. It’s getting borderline comical, I must say.

Footy Fix: Ross Lyon is the AFL's most boring coach once again - and it's suffocating the Saints' season

Your argument would make some sense had they not also made the finals in 2010….the year after they got rid of him. They did even better in 2011 too.

Forget Cripps, Curnow and Walsh - the unsung Blues heroes driving Carlton's premiership push

Perhaps he could just lead into space correctly that made the kick easy?

What I do know is, Fev did not make Carlton better. Not one bit.

Forget Cripps, Curnow and Walsh - the unsung Blues heroes driving Carlton's premiership push

I disagree.

Jason Dunstall is a superior forward to Lockett, precisely because he kicked almost as many in a superior side his entire career.

It’s quite easy to kick a lot of goals in a rubbish team. Just ask Richo.

Forget Cripps, Curnow and Walsh - the unsung Blues heroes driving Carlton's premiership push

Fev is one of the reasons Carlton was so useless during his time. At his best was when the Blues were at their worst.

He was a garbage forward.

Forget Cripps, Curnow and Walsh - the unsung Blues heroes driving Carlton's premiership push

Charlie will be disappointed if he doesn’t get well above Fev. Harry, not so much. He’s just okay. Charlie is your man.

Forget Cripps, Curnow and Walsh - the unsung Blues heroes driving Carlton's premiership push

Ending behind Fevola is not a decent effort. Par… at best.

Best match of the year so far. Both clubs should be very proud of what they achieved and stood for today.

Well done.

Footy Fix: The best Anzac Day classic since the first one confirms the Pies are back... and the Bombers are for real

Why on Earth would the Pies wanna be at their best at this time of the year, anyway?

Silly article written for the sake of writing something.

Footy Fix: The Pies might have embarrassed Port... but they're still not back to their best. Yet

He’s dead right in that interview the Tribunal regarding why they let him off.

I don’t have a view on whether he should or shouldn’t have been rubbed out. The whole system is a joke as far as I’m concerned.

'Don't interview me': Chris Fagan in tense exchange with journo after defending Cameron's contentious Tribunal escape

lol, he’s dead right.

'Don't interview me': Chris Fagan in tense exchange with journo after defending Cameron's contentious Tribunal escape

Tough round of tipping.

You can make an argument for any team winning this round.

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions, Round 6: Can the Bulldogs bounce back after a week of scrutiny?

I would have been disappointed had Charlie been rubbed out. It’s going to be a ripping game against my boys. A good test with the Lions near full strength and in form.

AFL News: Why Cameron escaped ban for dumping tackle, Blues star hit for six, Dees re-sign fan favourite

I don’t disagree. I just found your article massively disrespectful to one of the all-time great AFL coaches in Sheedy — and I don’t even like the guy. He’s massively annoying.

When Bevo loses the playing group, then I’ll agree with you. He’s generally had an excellent rapport with his players, which isn’t always a given for most coaches and one of Bevo’s strongest assets.

You could see it with McRae instantly. The players love him. In contrast, most of the same players either hated Buckley, or disliked him at best.

Luke Beveridge is on borrowed time - he's an inconsistent coach who gets inconsistent results

He’s still a premiership coach, despite his faults and/or ‘luck’ in finals. They are as rare as hen’s teeth, so I wouldn’t be too fast giving him the boot.

Just my view, so unless a viable alternative arises, the Bulldogs would be best keeping him.

Your ramblings on Sheedy back this up. I don’t remember Essendon doing much since his departure, apart from outdoing Armstrong as the biggest cheat ever… well second biggest cheat, anyway.

Luke Beveridge is on borrowed time - he's an inconsistent coach who gets inconsistent results

Lol… you beat me to it.
