I don’t understand your post. Who are making negative posts? Who can’t express themselves? Huh????
God hates Victory! Why? Why? Why?
I have often wondered about Jenner’s ‘Spin king’ status.
I have seen a talented leg spinner lost to the game, after having spent some time with TJ.
Whether that was as a result of his own temperament, or the coaching, I can’t say.
However, some of the practices this young man introduced to his game after coaching advice, resulted in me questioning.
This is a player not just lost to the talent squads but to local cricket, he no longer plays.
Thankfully, his younger brother continues to play the game here and has shown some wonderful touch with the bat in the past two seasons.
Why Australian cricket needs to go back to school
Gotta love an avenue to get these thoughts out that you can’t print in your professional life eh? 😉

Evidence there’s no media conspiracy against football
Fussball, you haven’t heard about it because they’re not AFL/NRL/A League footballers 😉
Western Bulldogs' club antics in Hong Kong [Video]
I don’t think it’s just Aussies mate.
I reckon it’s any group of people, generally blokes, who are touring in a group and drinking to excess.
Inhibitions break down due to the alcohol, group dynamics provide a sense of infallibility and also set others around the edge on edge, further enhancing the feel of being able to do whatever you want.
I don’t think those responses are typically Australian, they are typical of the situation.

Maybe the Anglo-Celt media couldn’t be bothered with the story because they weren’t sure how to spell the big fella’s name, let alone say it! 😉

Midfielder, the point I made at the start of my last post was that Asia’s population are also ignoring the cup.
The size of the crowds at this important sporting event are the problem, not the lack of media attention here in Australia.
This is not a case of the Australian media ignoring something because it’s in Asia, or because it’s soccer. This is a case of the media’s attention reflecting upon the support it is getting, if you judge by the crowds that are in attendance.
I’m sure the media in other parts of Asia are giving it major coverage but that interest is not reflected by the crowds.
The Asian Cup is being ignored by media
Maybe I need to expand on what could be seen as a sarcastic comment.
The empty stands I’m seeing when I watch Socceroos games in the deep of the dark here in Australia are concerning.
Holger Osieck obviously thinks so too, judging by some of the comments he made in a News Limited article earlier this week.
During the cup I’ve also watched some of ESPN’s Soccernet Press Pass and there has been nothing about it on there.
So…maybe Australia’s media has been giving it the prominence it deserves…
The Asian Cup is being ignored by media
Judging by the crowds, Australia’s media aren’t the only ones ignoring the Asian Cup.

At the moment, I don’t think it’s beer froth around big Merv’s mo….probably more anger.
Thanks for the compliments guys.
Cricket is ripe for the picking when it comes to these sort of stories.
And…if you haven’t read the Chuck Fleetwood-Smith biography by Greg Growden, you should.

Kallis versus Sobers as cricket's greatest all-rounder
Just remember, Australian athletes don’t use these sort of things. And if so, it’s only by accident.
Crawling along The Edge
I hope I don’t appear to be blowing my own trumpet, but here’s something I wrote last month on Kallis, although I chose to focus on his batting, rather than his allrounder status:

How do you think it’d backfire on the lbws by the way?
Botham should really have accused Ian Bell of cheating
Sorry, that was more a tongue in cheek comment, given Trescothick’s revelations about mints in 2005.
But maybe I shouldn’t bring that up….cheating….
Botham should really have accused Ian Bell of cheating
I’m just wondering, have the English batsmen been rubbing half sucked mints down the edges of their bats to reduce the chances of it showing up on hot spot?
Botham should really have accused Ian Bell of cheating
Australia was caught on a sticky wicket once and Bradman asked Chuck and Bill O’Reilly to open the second innings of a Test to protect the top order until the dog died down.
Chuck asked the Don why he was doing that – “well Chuck, you can’t hit the ball on a good wicket, you’re certainly not going to on this one”. Or words to that effect.
Maybe with this lively deck, Ponting needed to try that. People have been suggesting he drops down the order lol
A bouncy WACA deck? Perhaps Beer is the answer
Chop, if the pitch was that lively, maybe he should have put Chuck Fleetwood Smith in to bat first and he could’ve come in when it settled down……..
(I’m hoping someone gets my obscure cricket tragic joke)
A bouncy WACA deck? Perhaps Beer is the answer
Sadly I’m at work.
And with two kids now, the days of lolling around on the couch drinking beers while consumed by the Test match are long gone too. lol
A bouncy WACA deck? Perhaps Beer is the answer
With all this bloody talk of beers and Beer, I’m decidedly thirsty!
And it’s only 10.30 SA time.
