with the benefits of hindsight you can see the “errors” in the later stages which allowed new zealand to get back into the match. the kick that went dead, the kick that went straight to the fullback, the kick by widopp that gained little ground, the missed intercept, the head high tackle penalty, the missed tackle by sinfeld etc
but for me the head high tackle was the main turning point.

Sinfield’s folly costs England dearly against New Zealand

you need to get out more and do some more research as comments like “wembley did not sell out and its a league region” is way off. before you troll make sure you know your stuff.

seriously these discussions are a waste of time. like school kids in the playground saying “my favourite singer is better than yours”. if you dont like RL don’t watch it and stop littering these sites with ignorant garbage.

England v New Zealand, the greatest game of all

mike,
very very ignorant comment

Kangaroos vs Fiji: 2013 Rugby League World Cup live scores

plus the weather was a huge factor. i have never left a match early in my life, whatever the result. but for the first time, i thought about it when the match was an early foregone conclusion and various parts of my anatomy were numb. many of my friends asked if we should leave early as it was so bitterly cold.

fiji were very disappointing given some of the talent in their team.

Kangaroos vs Fiji: 2013 Rugby League World Cup live scores

jaji, very very ignorant comments. you need to do better research rather than just trying to antagonise and support your own beliefs.

Phil Rothfield, I have a question for you

another garbage article from Phil:
full of narcissism
lacking objectivity
caught up in his own nrl bubble
short sighted / narrow minded
seeking biased info which supports his own agenda
designed to antagonise / generate publicity

Phil Rothfield, I have a question for you

these articles are all very boring and repetitive. one must start to question the motivation and psychopathology of the writers of these articles. for some bizarre reason, some people find the rlwc 2013, a threat to their own personal self identity/self esteem. one suspects that attention seeking and narcissism are some of the prime motivations. the comments are designed to be antagonistic and lack objectivity and display significant ignorance. its like listening to a bunch of children in the schoolyard saying “i’m better than you”, “my favourite band is better than yours” etc.
rugby league is a sport, as is afl, rugby union and football. if you don’t like one of them, don’t watch them. move on in life and stop devaluing this website.

Is RLWC one of the biggest hoaxes in world sport?

no conspiracy just poor refereeing. But the sydneycentricism is a valid point and needs to change now that the NRL has been around a while. NRL is nothing but the NSWRL plus a few other teams to keep Queenslanders happy. sydneycentricism pervades the media coverage. many brisbane teams folded or are not as they once were, to the benefit of building up the NSWRL.

11 questions for NRL conspiracy theorists to answer

four traits of those who believe:

patternicity, or a tendency to find meaningful patterns in random noise;
agenticity, or the bent to believe the world is controlled by invisible intentional agent;
confirmation bias, or the seeking and finding of confirmatory evidence for what we already believe;
hindsight bias, or tailoring after-the-fact explanations to what we already know happened.

NRL conspiracy theories exposed (and a few debunked)

seems like grubby player to me. grabbing nuts, rubbing eyes etc.
you grab a man’s nuts on the street and you are arrested for sexual assault.
some of these dudes need to stop believing their own media hype and realise their position is a privilege and not a right.

Burgess: I am not a dirty player

gallen – as good a player as he can be, he is a thug……rap sheet – racism, sticking fingers in head wounds, crusher tackles, nate myles incident etc etc. it is a disgrace that he is a captain of a major australian sporting team. one suspects without his playing ability and media buddies promoting/protecting him, he would be considered a J hopoate type.

Gallen labels Sharks 'soft' after loss to Cowboys

“David Warner will be an Australian cricket legend. He is a unique player, so different from nearly every other player in the history of Test cricket.”

i think you need to get out more if you think this is the case. bizarre comment.
richards, akram, kapil dev, botham, sangakkara, sobers, imran khan, waugh, border, chappell, hayden, gilchrist, greenidge, haynes, tendulkar, graeme pollock, barry richards, etc etc etc

he is a 20/20 player who shows some major inconsistency at other forms. overrated overpaid player. his legend status should be becoming clear about now at his age.

David Warner will be an Australian legend

there is no shame losing to a better side but the way you lose is important. the batmen are a disgrace. this pitch showed if you apply yourself you can score runs or even a hundred. this team has shown on several occasions that they can be “run through”. time to move on from some of these batsmen as they have been given lots of opportunities. the bowlers have done well this series given their lack of experience.

Aussie choke hands England series win

NSW are flabbergasted, and left contemplating the possible ripple effect of another series win to QLD
NSW are not shutting the door on any further suggestions of how to win a series.

Mitchell Pearce vs fat, naked bald guy

time for de-evolution, the end of state of Origin. queensland residents versus nsw residents. possibly the only way NSW can win. Storm players can then only play for Victoria residents.

Ho hum, another year, another Maroons win

Ahmed of Timbuktu is also going for NSW. Apparently Barack Obama is supporting Queensland.

seriously, where do you get the ideas for these articles from?

Giggs backs Blues to win Origin III

blatant thuggery of a captain of an australian sporting team should never be tolerated.

sport should never involve “brutality”. i dont think you understand what the word means or suggests.

tariq sims is a representative of, and, an expert on current societal values?

that comet didnt wipe out the dinosaurs.

State of Punch? Origin is in trouble

have to agree with oikee strongly. some of the justification given for what was basically thuggery has been absolutely bizarre (e.g from gallen himself, laurie daley, certain members of the media etc). his explanations have been disturbing and sometimes contradictory e.g. hes does not want to condone violence but has no remorse for what he did and feels hard done by. the GALLEN GROUPIES are certainly out there and seem caught up in the world of macholand. heard a disgraceful interview with gallen on triple m with his mates girdler, ginnane, and some dude from the newspaper last weekend. it turned into a gigglefest and the groupies looked to support him at every turn. even a trip to a school by gallen after some students got violent and used the gallen incident as an excuse was twisted into “kids can manipulate the situation”.

paul gallen should become a cult leader when he finishes with nrl. the CULT OF GALLEN, where their leader can do no wrong and they hang on his every word and every action is explained and makes sense to them even though it defies logic / objectivity / current community views / the law etc.

Paul Gallen is the real victim in all this

how many professional sports teams in the world would allow their captain to display blatant premediated thuggery and still remain in their position? how many would actually glorify and justify the act?
state of origin is about high skills/hard hits/controlled aggression. if you want to watch punching go and watch boxing. if you want to see brutality and violence go back to roman times and watch the gladiators.
paul gallen is a disgrace, he has a long rap sheet on the field e.g. onfield violence, racism. He and laurie daley should be charged for bringing the game into disrespute.

Violence or apathy? Rugby league at a crossroads

paul gallen and his display were a disgrace.
if you want to see punching go and watch boxing. statements such as “its Origin” and “great Origin moment” are equally disturbing. the year is 2013 not 1976. paul gallen, laurie daley and various sections of the media…….you are a disgrace. the efforts to justify/minimize/laugh about the incident or even blame nate myles for “dominating” are equally bizarre.
paul gallen is the captain of NSW playing in a showpiece match……acting like a thug. the game is marketed to women and children not just macho aussie males.
some skirmishes occur in rugby league but paul gallen crossed the line of what is acceptable.

NRL prepared to condone violence for the 'good of the game'?

the showpiece of rugby league and we are treated to the nsw captain acting like a street thug.

the comments about it being a “great Origin moment” or “its Origin” are absolutely bizarre. the year is 2013 not 1972. the game constantly promotes itself on being a game for the family to watch. it has made some social stands reflecting current society standards such as being against violence against women.

paul gallen, laurie daley and some parts of the media……. please leave the macho bull behind.

Lewis, Gallen, Daley must all take a bow

NSW were the better side.

paul gallen should be dealt with harshly. this is apparently the showpiece of rugby league with high viewing numbers and we are treated to the captain of NSW acting like a thug.

if there is problem with with Nate Myles then this also should be looked at through proper channels.

Four observations about State of Origin 2013 game 1

are IQs dropping of people in the public eye who use twitter?

Chris Lynn has obviously just completed a Phd on short and long term effects of violence experienced by women. he also spends his spare time volunteering at the local domestic violence centre. He is thus an expert on this type of violence.

Lynn sorry for alleged Te'o victim tweets

“But once the game goes to GPET there are 10 minutes in which to do something”
i think you are minimising the term GOLDEN. there are not necessarily 10 minutes to attempt things. you can lose the match AT ANY TIME with ANY points scored.

Please Dave, leave the golden point alone

Watson is a very ordinary test cricketer and in another era probably would not have played a single test.

Watson becomes Test captain, undeservedly
