Isn’t your excuse that Rennie was coaching?

'Love to see Joseph play in Olympics': Roff backs NRL recruitment drive, says 'dam' about to break open for Wallabies

With at least half our first team out injure playing away from home? I’m not sure what you get out of mindless bashing

'Love to see Joseph play in Olympics': Roff backs NRL recruitment drive, says 'dam' about to break open for Wallabies

He has to be he offers so much

ANALYSIS: Eddie's spoiled for choice with three distinct options at No. 15 - which way should he go?

Did you watch the Waratahs V Highlanders game?

Pick me Eddie: McReight stakes Wallabies claim to lead Reds to crucial win over Force

Valetini can’t make the jump to Test rugby? He’s been one of the Wallabies best over the last year. What about his game is he not up to scratch?

Eddie brings up his 50: Seven players added to Wallabies camp, including reprieves for Perese and Wilson

Dunno what the value add is here

How the evolution of Tom Wright could help solve problem child position for the Wallabies

Agree with you on the forwards summation but I don’t think it’s so clear cut at 10. For this World Cup, I’m not convinced that Noah is clearly a better option then Donaldson, as while Donaldson hasn’t been great, Noah has had the luxury of playing behind a much more dominant pack. Plus Jack Deb probably had a case for WC selection, and even Foley is a shout given recent Japan form plus if we were to already take a young 10 in Carter

SRP RD 7 talking points: Tate demotion the right call, Brumby who's 'braining it' and what now for Suli and JOC?

Agreed it’s a pretty big story whether you like it or not and it’s always interesting to hear players perspectives (even if they have their own motives)

'Presence and aura', 'Super excited': Wallabies react to RA's marquee move (with one little dig at rugby league)

I disagree. I think Jack Deb is a better player than most give him credit for. Big body, can flatten up the attack, big boot, solid in defence, lots of experience etc

Job done: Brumbies given fright but lethal back three, superb bench seal perfect start to Super season

Jack Deb putting in another impressive shift. A few more options for Eddie this year for the second 10 slot

Great article as always, thanks Geoff

The Wrap: Rebels critics should know better, thrills and spills in Fiji, and string of close finishes leads to ladder logjam

Waratahs conspiracy theories are so boring

ANALYSIS: Unbeaten Brumbies hang on against Reds as O'Connor sends timely reminder to Wallabies

I disagree BF- I actually think that Jack Deb is a better player than Noah. Offers more in defense, bigger kicking game, offers more as a ball carrier and has more experience. I think he will surprise a few people this season.

ANALYSIS: Glimmer of hope despite Reds rout, and the player who can end Australia's huge Mack Hansen regret

I reckon at 19 years of age, we can give TL a few more games than 3 to make a decision on whether he’s good enough to wear gold

'Broken record': Ill-disciplined Reds given 'reality check' as Hurricanes make Lynagh's debut a tough one

Jack Deb is a very good player and will push Lolesio for Brums/Wallabies. If he had been around last few years in AU I think he would be Quade’s understudy

'Humble pie': Larkham's Brumbies spoil Waratahs party as young guns shine on Super Rugby debuts

Based on limited media coverage and mentions in comments here, and considering conjecture around the 10 position, I would add Jack Debreczeni too

The Wrap: Who are the players to watch out for across every Super Rugby franchise?

Entertaining article, thank you. I think there is going to be a big improvement from the AU SR teams this season

Why 2023 must start with a bang for Australian rugby

Great article. Thoughtful and well written. Thank you!

The Wrap: Rugby Australia get their man but at what cost to their 'junk bond status' reputation?

Yeah I think it would have – there were 20+ players due to return

Didn’t Lote Tuqiri score in the same game?

Bullish Jones says retribution on his mind as he eyes off NRL talent to bolster Wallabies' World Cup charge

Yep there is a hidden agenda, starting at RA, to favour NSW players over QLD players, and then implemented by all Wallabies selectors. Rennie must be so furious now that even after he followed RA’s instructions to pick NSW players he still gets the sack!

Revealed: The meetings that convinced Rugby Australia to go all in on Eddie Jones for the World Cup

Such a reductive argument looking at win/loss in isolation. Have you looked at long term win/loss trend for wallabies over the last 20 years? Have you accounted for teams player, amount of players available and injuries?

'Major coup': Rennie axed with Eddie Jones returning as Wallabies coach on mammoth deal for two Cups

Jones should get the same dispensation if the talent pool and amount of injuries he suffered are the same. Objectively they are substantially different.

'Major coup': Rennie axed with Eddie Jones returning as Wallabies coach on mammoth deal for two Cups

Where are you getting this from?

'Major coup': Rennie axed with Eddie Jones returning as Wallabies coach on mammoth deal for two Cups

No I think it’s more likely simply been told by RA that they won’t be changing the coaching structure pre WC.

'Won't happen': Rennie's blunt reaction to working with Eddie, addresses future, Wisemantel exit and review
