Every team has holes and so do the Swans. We are still very short in the backline so our ability to intercept mark is poor in a pack, Crows and Geelong kill us in that area. One on one we are quite good, i don’t think the Swans have played anywhere near their best game yet, its coming

Footy Fix: The scariest part about the Swans? They're still nowhere near their best

If you compare NSW and QLD in rugby state of origin there are lessons to be learned. NSW always mouth off and predict the outcome in their favour, Qld say nothing, stick to a plan and get the job done year after year. Saying you are going to beat a team before a game is dumb and arrogant, just shut up and save if for the game. Crows could win but dumb to even talk it up, just turn up on the day.

AFL News: Demons blow as Petracca confirms the worst, Nicks confident Crows can knock Swans off perch

Ace , I think squash has the highest number of heart attacks during the game, darts is better

COMMENT: The Dees failed Christian Petracca on King's Birthday - and questions must be answered

Hate them but respect them and love watching them. Desperation and never say die is a quality few teams have and will beat class every day of the week. Sam Mitchell is unforgiving, he demands a level of commitment and if you don’t do it your out, excellent leader.

To September... and beyond? The psychological shift turning the Hawks from cellar dwellers to contenders

Swans looked like they just got back from holidays and Geelong played well, but as soon as the tackling pressure let up the Swans went to work. Giving teams a lead is not wise but good to know you have petrol if need be. Of course any team can be beaten but Swans at their best have no equal this year.

I thought the holding the ball and incorrect disposal umpiring was terrible, like before the rule change.

Six Points: Defending THOSE last-minute frees, Darcy's commentary stinker, and why Swans aren't invincible

Valentino

I am flying down for the Swans v Crows game so certainly hoping Adelaide continue their current form

Footy Fix: The Crows are an utter shambles - and one horror stat shows just how far they've fallen

Gyfox. : From the Port site : Port joining VFL in “defiance of the South Australian [National] Football League’s official declaration in May that there would be no SA team in the AFL until 1993 at the earliest.”

Port breached an agreement and tried to go alone destroying SA & WA negotiations any rights or bring teams in. It is true a national comp may never have happened but Port made sure the VFL held all the cards, and still do. Long time ago now.

Sturt and playing the Pies this weekend and Claremont playing Carlton

Levelling the playing field for AFL players and coaches: We need to treat teams differently to ensure equality

Cola did level the playing field and as someone who pays a mortgage in Sydney a $500,000 a year lifestyle in Sydney could be matched with a wage of $180,000 in Adelaide, Brisbane or Perth. Companies pay different wages by state and AFL teams are companies. Interstate clubs travel more and costs are higher. the AFL will always be an expanded VFL never forget that, Port trying to jump ship and burn the SANFL is the gift that keeps on giving. It will never be an even competition so discussing salary cap or cola is a moot point.

Rowdy, you are correct Norwood and Sturt at the top and we all know where Port were. You were safer on the field than in the crowd when playing Port

Six Points: Darcy's dog act deserved more weeks, some overdue Freo love, and HTB crackdown a predictable farce

When you look at the good teams there is one thing in common which is they have culture to always go forward and as quickly as possible. Kicks sideways are limited, going back to take a kick are limited. Port , Geelong and sometime even Carlton seem to slow the game up a lot which lets the opposition reset. Carlton get away with in with their marking talent but other teams can’t. Swannies are probably the best runners and best to watch and Hawks are now doing the same, they move quickly and effective and their forward get good ball. I still hate them but like to watch them now.

Footy Fix: Free-wheeling, ferocious and fun - how the Hawks are becoming the AFL's most watchable team

Tactical genius that will get the Dockers to September: It's time we give some respect to Fremantle and Justin Longmuir

Maxy true but Port seem to depend heavily on your three young runners, close them down or like last night when one is out the ball does not come in well.

Top four, here we come: Cripps blitz lifts Blues to barnstorming victory over Port

Carltons play a lot of possession football not a lot of running football, they rely too much on the marking ability of their forwards. A good team but if the want to figure in finals they need to run and open teams up. IMO. Port look like the same team with the same problems they have had for 10 years sounds like Hinkley, looks like Hinkley and is spelt like Hinkley

Carlton need to win and so do Port but hoping Carlton get it done, Adelaide oval could be a problem but lots of Blues supporters in Adelaide. Prediction Carlton to lead in last Q then lose. Collingwood over Dogs and Melbourne should win as Freeo don’t travel well so Melbourne. Then Crows, Eagles, Cats and Dons

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions, Round 12: The byes have arrived - any chance of a perfect 7/7?

There is actually quite a bit of football to write about mid season. He should be referred to the new Minister for blokes acting like blokes in Victoria, we need to eradicate bloke behaviour and the use of two letter words as they are not enough, you need more words

Holding the ball
In the back
Ran too far
Oh golly gosh

I swore I would never mention the 2016 AFL funded GF win so I will not mention the umpiring in the 2016 final and there is no way I will ever mention the GF umpiring again even if I am asked to comment on the 2016 umpiring.

'Standout' Swans, 'unsustainable' Pies, 'boring' Giants: How the top-eight sides are tracking at the halfway mark

Dons are persistent and if you do that week in week out you will break the competition at some stage, not sure if GF yet may lack a bit of class but you can’t rule them out.

.kraM

we have a tendency to slaughter Geelong or get slaughtered. If we win the midfield the Geelong forward line does not come in to play. If the Swans lob the ball in to contest in our forwardline, we lose. If the pass it in or kick from 50 we win.

Wiki,

I will play

First for WA

Warner, Cripps, McDonald, Tim English, Jeremy McGovern, Aaron Naughton, half of the dockers, Tom Mitchell, 50% of Eagles, i need more time but that’s a start

Six Points: Defending THAT time-wasting free, 2024's coldest take, and can we stop saying the Dons aren't that good?

One thing I do know if a state of origin was held now WA would win

Six Points: Defending THAT time-wasting free, 2024's coldest take, and can we stop saying the Dons aren't that good?

Yep Brissie are cooked, dysfunctional forward line. Thank god the swans did not get Daniher and Hipwood is very poor at contested marking which is kind of his job. They seem to have lost their run as well so a hard road back from here.
