That is great but then his injuries started. And he would be a better player and less injury prone if he trimmed some of his excess body fat.
I think he’s a fabulous player. But he certainly could be better, and he’s body is the key to that.

Rebels should be closed immediately. The cost to keep them in 2024 will be massive. And it’s all a total waste of that money. Spend it on contract payouts and repaying their debt.

No, it’s not indicative of anything. It’s an error. I know because I made the same error when addressing a meeting of professional colleagues recently. Embarrassing. I emailed the person I repeatedly called Dan instead of Dave to apologise. He said it was funny and don’t worry about it.

No Stuart. A 15 year old must not talk to a referee like that. Telling them to use their whistle. You should try referring yourself mate. This attitude that this sort of dissent is ok is a blight on the game.

That is a great idea. Should be a Blue Card for any purposeful and obvious foul, such has pulling on a jersey or grabbing an arm. Far too much of this happens.

It works well in Church League up here in Queensland. Behavioural has improved a lot since they brought in the sin bin a couple of years ago. When players know they’re liable to be sent off for 10 minutes, they become a lot more reasonable in their pleas to the referee. They still argue, but they argue with less emotion and more respect.

PS. I don’t doubt the NZ clubs know how to run a rugby club, Jacko. But it’s a different landscape in Australia with a lot of competition from league, Aussie Rules and soccer.

The calibre of our players has certainly decreased. I don’t think it’s ‘toughness’. It’s just quality. And it explains our decline over the past decade.
Most on here want to blame the coach, but it’s the cattle. Was for every coach, from Deans forward. It’s a constant decline in quality that has matched our decline in success. Causation, not correlation.
