i disagree – if the fight will not generate the money it might have… why would floyd fight Pacman now? sure he might feel more confident but it will be seen as fighting a guy on the decline instead of in his prime. Floyd has little to gain in fighting Pacman now – in money or reputation. ‘So Floyd, you dodged Pacman for a couple years using every excuse under the sun… but you finally beat him. sniff, sniff about BJ. Dana suggested in the post event inteview – BJ should retire, it was his last fight on the contract… think it’s going to happen. his only viable option. i dont see him beating bendo at 155 either.

yeah, it is a big call but… well, i’m a sucker for BJ. i’ve seen the fight – MacDonald threw Nate Diaz around like a rag doll and i’m pretty sure that is why Diaz dropped to LW. BJ, when he is fit should be able to hold off a bigger wrestler… did ok vs fitch in sydney? also read that BJ was training with Ben Askren to practice against a bigger wrestler. fingers crossed it makes the difference this time… anyway – BJ now has plenty of fights at LW now that the WEC guys have flooded the division so i think he should go back down.

cheers bro. yep agreed about Dan thoughts. Remember a couple years ago – GSP, Hughes and BJ all where all trying to fight each other at the same time? Someone got injured and the odd man stepped up straight away. that was awesome when that was going on.
on a side note: i wonder about Chael and his UFC promotion? love or hate him fighting for the title next but what happens to Chael if he gets destroyed in LHW? move back to middle weight? good chance it will happen… he’ll be a gatekeeper in two divisions.
BJ Penn needs to show his fans he is a legend
Stockton – sub after he has chases Henderson for 4 rounds.
Shogun – controls distance through kicks and counters punches in combinations. Then rematch with Dan Henderson in 2013.
Penn – Maybe this time next year or the year after. It will be competitive but Penn is too hungry and will look to not only win but to win emphatically. KO in the 1st.

he’d get looked on the local circuit as long as a promoter could make money. if he went anywhere bigger he’d have trouble – Randy vs James Toney. someone would exploit the holes in his game and he’d quit the game soon after. you are right – Europe is calling.
when i was a kid i remember a charity boxing event betwen Mal Meninga and Mark jackson. Mal can punch. turn the clock back and load Mal with some good coaches/training and i’d feel sorry for anyone stepping into a ring/cage with him.

agreed Hendricks isn’t on the same level of Silva so yep, step backwards. but in a division that has seen only a few title defenses in the last couple of years i think GSP has to defend his title at least one more time before he looks outside the divison for a challenge (even if we assume they aren’t up to the challenge). bisping doesn’t like sliva not defending his title at MW too…

i think GSP striking is better than condit. while GSP doesn’t get the finish he uses his strikes to paint opponents into a corner – either stand and get picked apart or shoot and take your chances with my wrestling.
Kos – GSP jabbed himself to a win. while a jab was never going to knock him out it won him the fight.
BJ – GSP flinch striking unevered Bj’s game so BJ couldn’t counter the reach of GSP with his power shots.
GSP fights for the win, not a KO. it’s low risk but the goal is the same.

agreed. while sonnen hasn’t done anything to deserve the title fight Sonnen will promote the fight like never before. the trash talking is going to be huge… after a season of TUF, a round of promo interviews. everybody will buy the card. Dana will make $$$ out of that fight.

Looking at the UFC122 Main Card breakdown
i think they are already trying by using australia via proxy. UFC 127 which will be held in sydney on the 27th 2011. Sydney and Japan and Korea are close to the same time zone… so while the events may not be in tokyo the japanese can watching it at a decent time instead of sunday morning.

on the weekend i thought GB contained the vikings running game very well (didn’t let them run towards the sidelines) and the viking’s passing game was strangled (except for junk time) as a result. i thoguht the defnese held pretty well.
GB’s offensive running game was not bad Kuhn scored a TD by running it in at least once that i can remember..
