Too many hands and wandering feet in rucks from SA which ref turned a blind eye too. In comparison to Ire v ABs which was far less scrappy and a much better spectacle. One thing lacking in DuPonts game is mgmt of the ref. O’Keefe known for turning blind eye to this stuff and I go back to Brumbies v Auckland final a couple of years back which any Brumbies fan would remember. That knock down by SA was a penalty try and yellow card for me

agreed – eddie seems to put everyone offside – he can’t seem to get anyone onside unless they are completely loyal to his exact instructions. Which is probably why no decent assistant coaches want to work with him. And when things don’t go to ‘plan’ on the field (and nothing ever goes to plan in rugby) the players seem afraid to go with their instinct almost like they have forgotten how to play. Probably afraid if they don’t follow EJs exact instructions they are dropped the next week
