An easy target in the context of rounds 11-17? Which is true, he was terrible for those 6 rounds. The article then later acknowledges that he finished the season strongly, which, as you said, was against good teams.

How North’s blueprint stole Rory Sloane’s Brownlow Medal

I’m sure GWS will play close attention to Sloane, whether that be allocating one tagger to him or playing a team defence who knows. And you’re right, they need to pay Crouch the attention, but not focus too much just on him and let Sloane get off the hook.

Fair point, but the tackle that concussed him occurred quite late in the third quarter at which point his stats were well below par.

Thanks Matt!

And yes, I agree. McLean showed great promise for the dogs this year, and like you said, would’ve been a lock with a better start. Probably would’ve made it in most years, but this years young midfielders and forwards were next level.

Admittedly, he should have at least been in the unlucky category. But i will take your feedback on board and use it to improve with my next articles.

Played 15 games and was competing with Josh Kelly, Zach Merrett, Ollie Wines, Clayton Oliver and Matt Crouch. Which one of those would you omit?

Agreed, definitely was bias towards McGrath from the media which cost Burton.

Was Ryan Burton robbed?

I did look at Peter Wright but felt he was more of genuine tall forward and merely a backup ruckman, whereas Sean Darcy is a genuine first ruck option, and as a result Wright couldn’t fit in to the dominant forward line. In terms of the Jayden Hunt point, I felt he was less consistent than Jones and that Jones was pivotal in the Sydney resurgence. Point taken about Harris Andrews as well, I did feel that Sicily was vital in the Hawks defence (who didn’t concede more than 100 points following round 6), and his intercept work was unmatched by most other defenders other than a few such as Rance, but Harris Andrews was also very impressive.
