Simple ideas to improve the AFL spectacle
Mate if the doggies beat the pies in the GF I will jizz my pants, IMO the hawks will continue there slide, have no idea why people rub the swans out every year there arguably been the most solid side over the last 15 years and this year will be no different, and goodes a dark horse for a 3rd BL.
cats will feel the loss of bomber more than ablett but he will be a great gain to hird and windy hill. I dont want to get my hopes up too much as i have the last few years about Footscray but to see the scraggers of the comp win the premiership after the heartache of watching the pies take the flag last year would be a breath of fresh air.

The question is can the game not afford to do it? Just like me 95% of the country will know nothing of the game other than the 60 seconds highlights on the news, I admit I dont have a magical solution to the situation but FTA must happen for the good of the game I would have loved to have seen the GF but I cant afford to. Take a short term finanial hit now for a long term financial gain, not sure if its viable but FTA is the only way this sport is going to progress in this country IMO.

FFS its been one game people, relax. just like GWS who are a very ordinary team at the moment but I have no doubt will be very competitive this time next year, so will Izzy he just needs time (2 to 3 years), hard to tell which position he”ll slot into but I doubt it will be ruck, I might be alone on this but he played wing in RL and if he can improve his cardio I dont see any reason not to stick him on the wing in AFL, any thoughts?

Nice aticle, great to see AFL looking abroad for new talent and if im not mistaken in that swans/pies game there were players from USA, Canada, Brazil, Burma, Ireland (thats just off the top of my head might be more) but it goes to show how the games evolved over the last 10 years and these players all bring there own style and technique which is great for the sport, Im excited for the future of the game.

Good luck to George and Kyle, UFC has a massive cult following in this country. I heard Melbourne refused UFC events (a while ago im not sure what the situation is now) which is a shame, a packed Rod Laver arena in Australias sporting capital would be epic. and to all the nay sayers here no ones forcing you to watch ’em just like no ones forcing them to fight but if they want there chance at fame n fortune in a sport there gifted at then I wish them all the best. THUGS!! ….. really?, why dont u do a little research and look up George Sotiropoulos and Kyle Noke (Australias 2 most known UFC fighters) there probably 2 of the most respectable athletes in this country. Yeah harry was good, but I think Jolly needs a mention he was brilliant!!!!!, Hate the pies but ill give respect where its due, and my sympathy to those who have to work or be around pies supporters over the next 12 months (its going to be hell)

Love it or hate it its obviously a huge topic of discusion, and a grand final that wont be forgoten by an entire generation of AFL fans. Long live the replay tradition and GO SAINTS!!!! (not a StKilda supporter just hate the pies)

I hope the NRL get a $1b deal, and im a mad AFL supporter. The NRL keep the AFL on there toes, keeps them fresh, proactive, ambitious, inventive and its all good 4 us AFL fanatics. Without it the AFL would sit on there laurels and become stale. Competition is a good thing which is why i hope the NRL get there $1b paycheck.
