Agree, I’m a big fan but he didn’t have a great game tonight.
Quite a few aimless passes just shoveling the ball to the next man or behind the man. A fair bit if crabbing across the field ala NL (which is unusual as he normally squares the shoulders and runs straight.
Overall just couldn’t make things happen- it was Daguna the 13 and the hard running 12 Jooste who looked dangerous. CG needs a few more tricks in his game to go next level.

'Always fighting, always Rebels': Chiefs hold on after late penalty in emotion-filled Melbourne send-off

As a Wallabies fan I really admired Sam for his calm captaincy, guts and the cohesion he seemed to bring to teams he played in. Much respect and good wishes to him.

'I had my time': Cane stands down as All Blacks captain after signing new deal in Japan

I played with his dad in the 70’s, he could tackle as well. If Tom is half as good ‘upstairs’ he’ll get a run.

'Nothing's a short-term fix': Schmidt seeks to bring 'fragmented' Wallabies together, says Beale is 'finding feet'

Couldn’t it just be that Tom L is just a better tackler…technique etc?
No system matters if you can’t tackle, ask Kurtley.
BTW did you catch Donno’s game last night? Much better than a 6/10 and ‘triple threat’ according to the scribes. Joe S was watching too. 😊

Thanks for rescuing Australian rugby Muzza. 😛

Exclusive: Wallabies star turns down mega deal overseas to re-sign with Queensland Reds

Not hyping- just calling it as I see it.

Kerevi was great on his day and carried the Wallabies attack for a season or two. Then his form went down and he became (it seems to me) a one dimensional crash barger.

Whether that was coaching intent I don’t know but he got worked out and other teams contained him reasonably well. IMHO 😱

Exclusive: Wallabies star turns down mega deal overseas to re-sign with Queensland Reds

I’m a Reds fan and have watched them both play live and on the telly for State and country.

I said IMHO – it’s an opinion site mate no need to get sharky.

Kerevi’s gone now anyway- doubt we’ll see him in Wallabies gold again unless Hunter goes down. IMHO…. 👍 😁

Yes TWAS perhaps form was the wrong word.
I’ll take that hit.

A wider array of skills I should have said.
Paisami’s passing and kicking game are well ahead of what crash man Kerevi ever showed IMHO.

Yes Hika – another good example of how a top class 9’s basic skill can make a huge difference.

The AB get it. Ask Dan Carter and Mounga about Aaron Smith’s pass and how it gave them that extra split second to play ‘what’s in front of them’.

Tate hasn’t got it and although he’s good at some other skills – his pass is club standard. I hope Joe S sees it too.

The five Aussie young guns who should be celebrated - and the one who is ready for the Wallabies

Top post, I love the pass Werchon brings, hope they give him more game time to develop. Over Tate.

Agree but Tom L not good enough yet.

Love him as I’m a Reds fan and see his efforts.

Notwithstanding, Wilson’s post contact metres are low, unfortunately, especially in tight.

Unless he’s running into gaps he folds like a cheap magazine. Need more from him post contact in the tight.

Fats did you ever play against Buck Shelford? How’d you go?

Super Rugby shows that the Bledisloe Cup isn't going anywhere - one selection could give the Wallabies hope

Done the AICD course and understand a boards remit. My position is that it seems that several of the board members have NFI about how rugby operates across the spectrum and putting on some time to touch base with the community might help to improve their decision making.

Ivory towers are lonely places.

'Definition of madness': Rugby reform must start with total cleanout of RA board - and this should happen next

The opaque nature around the current board’s processes, meetings and findings pretty much make them an anonymous entity now.

We know who they are from the sexy bios but we don’t have a rats of transparency about what and how they go about things , SO they they must be judged on outcomes and in that case they are a failure as outlined by the author.

What an amazing improvement if we had a board and directors who actually communicated and engaged with the rugby public beyond Moore Park. ????

Unfortunately it’s human nature KPM, people will always hire ‘mates’ or people they know and have an existing relationship with.

It’s called jobs for da boys. Look at the NSW and QLD origin coaches. Fittler is a great example of a player who shouldn’t be coaching at the highest level. Then look at Slater….has seemed to hit the ground running but it maybe he just has better cattle.

The Wrap: Why SANZAAR must hold Frank Lomani accountable for 'going back for his hat'

Don, what’s your opinion of Larkham then?

The Wrap: Why SANZAAR must hold Frank Lomani accountable for 'going back for his hat'

Remove Mowen, insert Larkham

He was parachuted into Brumbies coaching assistant role with zero experience, pretty much based on his (amazing) Wallaby and SR deeds as a player and connection to ACT rugby.

He’s now built some experience over the years including in Ireland, however still can’t sprinkle the glitter over a good system and group of players to win a title.

The Wrap: Why SANZAAR must hold Frank Lomani accountable for 'going back for his hat'

3. Larkham still there

The Wrap: Why SANZAAR must hold Frank Lomani accountable for 'going back for his hat'

Yeah, nup. KB is fit and keen because retirement is long and the $ will soon dry up.

Hats off, after his recent ordeals he had an OK game against the bottom team. I’m hopeful that his rocks and diamonds past won’t repeat when they play a top 4 side, but I doubt it.

Beale, Rodda shine on Super Rugby return as Force smash Crusaders to keep finals hopes alive

And LW’s bullet pass is what the Wallabies need. If good enough youth should be given more opportunities- Kiss should run him on next game and see how he handles starting pressure. Remember Horan debuted against the AB at barely 19 and Joe Stanley was so impressed he gave him his AB jumper.

Not saying guys like LW will be the same but talent recognition and promotion seems a sadly lacking quality in many modern coaches. Forwards are different and take more time to develop but a highly skilled snappy back with a level head can make it at a younger age.

TM overrated and his crappy passing holds the Reds and Wallabies back. Let’s se how conservative JS will be in his selecting.

'Like a Scud missile': World Cup reject leads rout, but Reds suffer fresh blow with Petaia's season in jeopardy

Agree, TL though he has a go, is not a running threat (speed, footwork, size) therefore the defenders size up his passing options and cover them more easily. CG streets ahead in that respect.

TL improving for sure but his overall package at the moment is not international standard.

Good point mate. I’m looking forward to seeing how Suaalii goes. He was the highlights reel kid at schoolboy level but not exactly setting the world on fire at the Roosters.

I hope he goes well but won’t be surprised if he’s a dud at higher levels of rugby where space is not as easy to come by and defences are tighter.

'What the hell's going on': Ex-Wallabies question 'losing' culture, pathways at Waratahs

Sure that seems a good pedigree Canonball – so even more perplexing that it doesn’t show on the field, much.

'Best place for me': Wallaby-in-waiting Jorgensen commits to Aussie rugby in boost ahead of Lions series

Gee whizz your ‘Sydney corporate mafia’ chip is huge mate. 😂

FWIW I’m a Qlder Reds fan who happens to have lived in Sydney for a long time (work/marriage). I have a disdain for Mosman types the same as you but since his elevation to CEO Waugh (who I don’t know and never met) has surprised me by making some extremely sensible decisions. Hiring Joe S and Horne as an example.

No one is perfect for sure and RA is a shitshow that the best CEO in the world would struggle with ATM. But until he screws it up I’m giving Waugh the benefit of the doubt…..especially since he’s bled for our Wallabies putting his ugly mug into many dark places (AB rucks).

What’s your solution then JD as CEO? Who’s your man/woman?
