You surely can’t be a true football fan making such fatalistic comments. You must be an afl or nrl fan saying such words. I am a true football fan and have been attending most nsl matches in the old days and now attend a league football matches. I love the a league ans do my daughters and all their friends the only negativity that sticks in my mind is the DAILY drug and sex scandals that rock the NRL and the tv stations still show their game. . I remember watching our socerros vs European champions in 1976 in front of 4,000 fans. Now the socerros can attract 30,000 fans on a weekday vs a weak opponent. Bring on the new a league football season. A very happy fan

Why would you publish such a negative headline when over a million tickets have been sold. Or is it some game to reach a quota for negative v headlines? Very very silly. I dont see negative headlines on AFL like when will the AFL break into a foreign market..these are troubling times for the AFL?. OR the AFL is still stuck in the 1950s catering only for a domestic audience…OR AFL crowds per head of v population have actually DECLINED since 1940…in real terms despite $$billions poured into the game each year

What about enticing the 1 million plus EUROSNOBS who follow the epl and domestic AFL and NRL to some free games in the a league. I have several office work colleagues in my company alone who follow EPL vyhenbtalk about the local footy instead of the A LEAGUE games. Maybe the ANGE factor will change the minds for some eurosnobs!

My local public school won’t allow any visits by NRL players. The school principal has banned them due to great code of conduct or lack of they present themselves with on a daily basis!

Good luck to Ange. The EPL is now looking to an AUSSIE to rescue them! . I dont watch the EPL with its highly OVERPAID and lazy players passing the ball back 100 times during a match. Absolute rubbish. Prefer watching a league football anyway over the garbage served in epl. The only eplbteam the played decent football in past 3 years was Leeds under Biesla
