Great article. I think some people have had a humour bypass…

Give us back football's soul: Why FIFA must listen to World Cup's bandwagon fans and end this joy-sucking disaster

Still, good win though hey Tony?!!!

AND they wouldn’t have a beer with us after! The final whingeing nail!

UK View: 'The moral victory is real' - Poms revel in Pat's 'failure', downfall of 'dastardly' and 'scared' Aussies

Yes. But, Physical fitness feeds mental. If you’re faaarked the oxygen isn’t allowing for a clear mind.

'F-word the D-word': Eddie needs to flip the message, because nagging about ill-discipline is the enemy of success

“Closer”. “Direct”. “Accurate”. I feel these all stem from fitness. Physical and mental. Wallabies aren’t fit enough.

For all the talk of the front line being diminished, it was 2 epic brain fades at the back that did us in. Should’ve attacked Nigeria much firmer in the first session.

'He'll look back with regret': Matildas coach admits 'strange' call as hosts on brink of World Cup elimination

I wouldn’t have played Neser as an all rounder because (2 consecutive (?) centuries aside) he isn’t one. And now Starc is injured.

Flem's Verdict: Aussies will be galvanised to shut up England’s PR machine after washout kerfuffle

I’d just love to see Nesser though…

I agree with what Eddie I’d saying. And whilst I would’ve loved to see Laurie on the wallabies staff he probably should’ve been more diplomatic. Also, we do have a role to play as fans. I hate the pile on that can happen here on the road and we should maintain respect for the efforts of the players and be as constructive as possible.

'Inappropriate': Eddie puts Laurie in his place over Wallaby criticism, explains Quade battle, gives Hoops, TT update

We don’t deserve the weather, But can Baitstow shove his keeper glove in his mouth please.

Bairstow 99, Wood's triple strike crush Aussies as series hangs on incoming Manchester downpour

It was awesome. And then it went downhill. I did throw the boots in, in case Eddie went back to a 5/3 bench, but not to be.

'Unbearable to watch': Superstar's struggles sum up woes - but Eddie just 10 percent away from a breakthrough

I think we really need to see what Faessler can do. Porecki is light on and Jordan has had sooo many chances to nail his core roles.

CONFIRMED: 34-man Wallabies squad for Bledisloe series against All Blacks as trio axed in shake-up

For ME, they were the best part of the night. I think the Wallabies should tour with that performer! 😛

Agree. I think back to someone like Conrad Smith. Amazing defender and never needed to put on the “big shots”!

Can’t see Petaia displacing Kerevi at IC.

Wallabies defeat wasn’t about winning or losing. It was about discovery

France and Ireland don’t have amazing offerings like AFL and rugby league next door.

Wallabies player ratings: Wright's rocks and diamonds nature leave 15 jersey open for RWC, winger's perfect night

No they didn’t do well out of him. Arnold yellow card was deadset wrong I was 2 rows back from where it happened. Winning try looked definitely held up.

Wallabies player ratings: Wright's rocks and diamonds nature leave 15 jersey open for RWC, winger's perfect night

Wallabies did not deserve to win that game, but Peyper is out of touch with the modern game. And refereeing deserves to be critiqued because it affects the quality of the game so much. I’d say refereeing is hugely responsible for the loss of fans. 10 years ago I’d have had a good crew along to watch last night. No one wanted to come.

ANALYSIS: Eddie Jones has no time for passion projects in World Cup year, kick heavy gameplan is here to stay

RightO Harry there’s no need to be a “smart arse” mate!

Fresh meat: Loftus Versfeld smells like an abattoir. Tom Hooper and co were skewered and thrown on the braai

I think Match fitness – physical and mental – played A massive part. Leaving Vunivalu’s shocker aside, I agree with the piece in the Herald. With a high number coming back from injuries, so they’re massively undone, combined with a squad who hasn’t played meaningful footy for weeks, that is a cold scratchy team. Adding in what Brett has said about dysfunctional defensive patterns and coaching, I’m surprised we didn’t lose by more!

'What was with that defensive set up?': Jones-Hodgson combo must get up to speed fast with Fisher absence clear to see

Quade ha just come back and the ball hardly got him. Why are people getting out the red pen straight away?! Certainly Eddies game plan looks foolish. As someone said – Quade needs the ball in his hands regularly and early to get into a groove. That obviously didn’t happen!

Studs and duds: 'Horrendous' Vunivalu 'will cop a caning', Quade Cooper 'not the answer' as Carter stakes RWC claim

Gee people are laying the boot in. It’s the first game. I’m gonna give them a bit of time (not that they necessarily have it). I’m not putting a red line through the team and the coach after one game!
