I would have played Lalakai Foketi at 12 and Reece at 15. No specialist kickers in the back 3.

Wallabies CONFIRMED: Why Jones opted for Hodge at 12 as Suli starts and four debutants named for Boks clash

Hello Geoff, brings me to another point I’ve been ranting on about for years other than the coaching situation. That is a player exchange system or something in place where our boys can gain experience in the north without jeopardising national selection and would be contracted to come back.

The Wrap: How to fix Australian rugby? It’s all about coaching the coaches

Here lies a big problem Bourk we keep promoting anything with a pulse at super level to national level and keep emptying the shelves at super level. Maybe Eddy knows that short term fixes( poaching super coaches) will have a longer term sacrifice. ????

And money

The Wrap: How to fix Australian rugby? It’s all about coaching the coaches

It amazes me that only now the elephant in the room has been spotted. The penny dropped for me when a potentially good coach who has assisted and played at a high level was appointed head coach of a super rugby franchise with no previous experience as a head coach. Darryl Williams was perhaps a victim of the above mentioned shortcomings. Then Wessels did well for the force but people forgot that it was on the back of teams dropping in intensity against them. He was seen as the messiah for Rebs. Coleman too may have benefited from a season as assistant at this level beforehand. I hope our structural problems haven’t adversely affected their careers too much.

On wright, you’d give a away 2 or 3 away on out of ten on the X factor scale to have an operator who can kick. Meet Donaldson and Hodge.

The Wallaby 15 should be more Burke than Folau: Eddie can win or lose the World Cup on his 'lone wolf' call

Hello Harry, nice one. From what I can work out ( given I’ve only seen snippets) the only candidate who ticks all the right boxes would be Max Jorgensen. Might be a tad early, 1 or two years. He seems to have the skill and nous but need to grow into his body for the rigours of test rugby. Thoughts?

Come World Cup I think 2 of the back three will have to be specialist kickers for Australia.

Harry gréât read, very funny. Did he f@¥£ her?
You didn’t mention that left boot. Len is the Yang of Kerevis yin. If they can be ensemble en France that would be a very good thing. Fingers, toes, arms, legs and eyes crossed.

A draft I’m unsure. Hart says no but I could be wrong.

DMac at the Rebels and a team in Hawaii - draft and expansion fuel Hamish's grand vision for Super Rugby

McLennon is wrong and I suspect he is ego driven and want to leave his legacy??? Any know better?
The problems with expansion is 2 firstly crowd number and tv viewing is not high enough. You have to take car of home before you set your sights abroad or risk exposing yourself financially and risk of collapse.
2nd players are attracted to Japan and France no only because of money. They get to spen less time on the road. The internationals are spending half their lives living out of a suit case. Reducing road time is a good idea to help retain our talent.

Unfortunately I haven’t seen a single super rugby match this year. On the flip side I’m in the box seat come RWC.

Exclusive: 'I've only got myself to blame' - Salakaia-Loto opens up on 'complacency' that led to Test axing

Nice one. I have no issues on my phone nor laptop and am eternally grateful that I can keep up to date with the rugby even though I’m on the other side of the world. Thank you ads. Thank you the roar and thank you Christy and others who contribute. Best times in history is now.

Nice one JF. Against top tier nations Kellaway is the greater student of the game. Wright has some handy legs but when it comes to the chess playing stakes I’d prefer Kellaway’’s smarts defence and kicks to weights turn of pace.

Should Eddie choose the Wright way or the Kellaway to play fullback for the Wallabies?

Hello HJ, much to my frustration and angst I haven’t seen a super rugby match this year due to cannel plus’s ownership writes here. I’m reading good things about Carter Gordon. I’ve liked the time and kicking ability of Donaldson. Why would Tane Edmed be you pick of the new gen 10’s?

Surviving as the smallest man in a game of brutal collisions? Only fools and horses scorn rugby's riders on the storm

I did thanks HJ. shame about Nic. He’s the most interesting rugby writer behind yourself of course. That I’ve read.
Nice work with those podcasts. I listen to them all.
Hit me up if you’re ever in the odeon area of Paris if time permits ?. My local is 12 rue André Mazet 6e. The Tennesse bar. My artilleur is in La defence. Take it easy.

Harry Jones what ever happened to me Bishop ?

Couldn’t see the match but from what I’m reading it would seem Jorgensen will be on Eddies radar. He’ll be wanting at least 2 kickers at the back and seem he’s a class link player and finisher in the AAC mould as well. Thoughts anyone ?

Magnificent Mark: Waratahs secure finals spot with stunning win over Fiji

I think in an ideal world you have 16 forwards in your A side. Taniela for example can be equally as effective of the pine or stating.

The 'lift and hangover' effect: how RWC history is stacked towards chaos at the pointy end

We lost the final but against one of the greatest teams to play and our lineup had perhaps no right to be there that year.

The 'lift and hangover' effect: how RWC history is stacked towards chaos at the pointy end

Nice read Lindsay. One thing worth pointing out is the petrol in tank effect. Something Cheika did in 2015 is have almost an A and B side. At this level a 7 day turnaround is a little too much for many a forward and possibly some of the hard working backs too. I think at this level guys, forwards should be playing on average no more than 40 min per match or even less. The theory of week in week out combinations is asking too much and may be a contributing factor of your lift hangover effect.

Hope you’re right. IMO We haven’t seen a truly great 9 since Will Genia.

Rugby News: Tate's non negotiable revealed in long-term deal, Larkham riled by treatment of 'confused' Noah

I’m not surprised Tate is being left out. He is the best running 9 no doubt but his core skills are passing-not gréât and kicking- worse than his passing. And deciding when and what to use-again no very special really.
