HALF-TIME UPDATE
The sides finally make it to the dressing rooms. An extraordinary 65 minute first half! The game started sloppy and never really matured, both teams spilled the pill pretty often to spoil chances. Georgia, however, are much more guilty of this. They’ve ruined countless chances to get points on the board through bad ball control and silly errors. Discipline will really need to improve if the Georgians want to take the lead. Luckily for them, they’ve set up the perfect scenario to take the lead. Namibia have 13 men on the field, and the Georgian scrum is dominating. Namibia will have a short reprieve while their scrum is uncontested, but once their props return it could be back to business for the Georgian forward pack.
Namibia have never lead a World Cup match at half time, so credit to them. Similarly Georgia have never trailed at half time and gone on to win, so this second half is both teams’ chance to break the shackles of the past and leave the World Cup happy.

YELLOW CARD! Johan Coetzee leaves the field for 10 minutes after 4 failed scrums, and now must field an uncontested scrum! Crazy scenes here, Georgia exploited their strength in the scrum and even if they don’t score here, they’ll be confident in capitalising on their 2 man advantage.

PENALTY. Georgia inspire another scrum penalty. We’re well into overtime. Georgia have used the time to get back to a full strength 15 man team.

I’m hungry now but the inconsiderate Namibians haven’t given me a breakfast break! First half has stretched about an hour.

YELLOW CARD! Larson has been sent off for 10 minutes, and Georgia have another chance. Really tense stuff here, deep into what should be half time. Georgia absolutely desperate to take the lead at the break – of the 11 times they’ve trailed at the break they’ve never come back to win.
Namibia lead 6-0.

Georgia has a lineout 10 metres out from the Georgian line, but without a hooker the throw is hilariously wayward. Namibia now have the lineout.

QUARTER-TIME UPDATE
It’s been a really sloppy game so far. Ball security hasn’t been either side’s strong point, and knock-ons have seem to come whenever either side is finding momentum. Ball running has been fast paced and electrifying, but the team who can slow themselves down and string controlled phases together will be the team who takes the advantage. Georgia has showcased early advantage in the forwards, dominating the scrum and putting together some menacing mauls.
Namibia lead 6-0.

NO TRY! Georgia looked certain to take the lead, only for referee George Clancy to take it upstairs and decide the ball was stripped and knocked on! Namibia get out of jail, but Georgia is applying the pressure.
