You clearly have issues if you think a threat is worse than an action Edgar.

To avoid any further comprehension difficulties you may have, I do not regard any sort of real world violence as satire, be it against a man or a woman.

Dust-up Dusty headed for the dustbin

I have to assume that this is satire. ‘One of the worst off-season incidents in recent years’, get off the cans Sloshy!

Dust-up Dusty headed for the dustbin

hmm, trying out new things with players that won’t be playing, sounds legit.

The Roar’s AFL finals expert tips and predictions: Week 1

Actually, Dimma was just lulling Brad and his clowns into a false sense of security in that game and when he got bored the Tigers put them away.

There’ll be no Nth victory on Sunday boys 🙂

Worse still losing to your spouse who picks based on the attractiveness of the players.

Lucky for you the ‘Guru’ status has nothing to do with tipping. 🙂

Crows coach Phil Walsh found dead, son charged with murder

I have to disagree with you big J, I can’t stand the NRL Footy show and find it inherently boring.

Is the Gold Coast curse repeating for the AFL's Suns?

If the last you heard was the Bombers were innocent, then clearly you haven’t been listening.

I also question your ability to assess an AFL players level of dirtiness if you consider Mitchell one of the dirtiest in the AFL.

Reaction to Sam Mitchell's banter is an embarassment

That would be excellent 🙂

In real time it’s hardly a ‘squirrel grip’, however, he still has no reason to have lifted his arm between Taylors legs at all, and as we all know it doesn’t take a very hard hit there to get a response, which is what Goodes got from Taylor.

Goodes should be doing all he can to add to what has been a remarkable playing career, instead he seems intent on ruining his legacy.

Longmire slams squirrel grip slur

Seemed to me that Buddy & Co spent a little too much time trying to unsettle Rance instead of concentrating on what their overpaid role is. Tigers played a hell of a half of football to roll over the Swans and have shown again how much they have grown as a team.

Buddy should get at least a week, took his eyes off the ball and lined up Edwards.
Tippet, overrated clown that he is should also get at least a week, reckless elbow to the head.
At the end of the day though I really don’t care, we took the 4pts and now look forward to the next challenge.
Goodes should also get a week, why, because he is a clown, struggling for relevance in the twilight of his career, and don’t think we didn’t see the whack you gave to Taylor’s nuts you flog.

Keep up the great work Tigers!

Tigers crash Swans' AFL party

I don’t think that’s what he was saying Gecko, Alex is a fierce competitor on the field, you don’t get All Australian just cruising along.

I think he just had to find the right work/life balance and learn how to separate the two before he recommitted to the club, either way whatever he is doing is clearly working for him and the club.

Carn the Tiges!!

I nearly walked away from AFL: Alex Rance

Franko, when Ice is being advertised at qtr time telling the punters how much they can get a point for outside of Gate 10 at the MCG, then i’ll concede it’s relevance to this discussion.

Don’t get me wrong, I agree with you 100% addiction is addiction regardless the mode and gambling should not be advertised and promoted with the gusto that it currently is, the fact remains though, it’s not illegal to gamble.

Is the AFL complicit in football players’ gambling addictions?

Definitely if that is the case then yes he would be in breach of the AFL rules regarding betting on the AFL and would be subject to what ever penalties apply, is it against the ‘LAW’ though, I don’t know. It is my understanding that he was betting on Horses, dish lickers and the trots. Either way, drawing comparisons with a drug dealer seems hardly relevant.

AR, I think you’ll find that the ads that appear on your page are as a result of your internet surfing habits, ie sites you visit and use regularly.

Edit: Having said that, a gambling ad just popped up on my screen! 🙂

Is the AFL complicit in football players’ gambling addictions?

Something about it being illegal me thinks.

Is the AFL complicit in football players’ gambling addictions?

Off topic, but would Horse Racing in its various forms exist without gambling?

I remember the days when I would bemoan when Rance got the ball, oh how the times have changed, keep up the great work Alex, go TIGES!

If I want to bet on a game, I and every other gambler out there knows where to find the odds without having them shown to us at every opportunity, just like tobacco advertising it needs to go. Watching various footy shows with my 14yo son I find it disheartening when he says to me “Who’d ya tip Dad? Tigers are $1.50 favourites”, and no i’m not one of those parents who blames TV et all for the issues that kids face be it drugs, gambling or alcohol, I do feel however that the AFL & the Broadcaster has a responsibility to the viewing public not to be pushing gambling to the masses, and putting up a ‘gamble responsibly’ disclaimer does nothing to discourage irresponsible gambling in my opinion.

Is the AFL complicit in football players’ gambling addictions?

Totally agree with the gambling advertising, there is way too much of it, I’m sure they gambling agencies are paying big dollars for the right to push the odds down our throats at every opportunity but for me it’s way over the top. If people want to gamble they will find out the odds for themselves. They got rid of tobacco advertising, I see gambling in the same light, there is no need to push it. My 2c.

The case against Americanising the AFL

So tell me Rick, did your Nike blow out or did you just f%$k up?

Adam Goodes is still getting booed, and it might be okay

He also said it was a celebration, so which is it?

If it was a celebration as he originally stated then why not celebrate with the Swans fans, the ones that are there to support him, seems to me he doesn’t care to much either way so long as he gets his head in the paper.

Also, don’t front the press a few days prior to the game all confused over the booing ‘I don’t know why they’re booing me, I don’t know if it’s racist or what the reason is, it’s very confusing’, having said that he then goes and celebrates/challenges the oppositions fan base.

Geez Adam, I don’t know why they’re booing you either.
