A good read Highlander, whilst Hegarty stats looked good on paper he still presided over a back line that was essentially a one trick pony (pass it to Kerevi), and the Reds backline stuttered all season. The Reds piggies gave the backs reasonable space but at times the backline play was wretched.
I hope Hegarty is resigned by the Reds we really need him to back all his good efforts up again next year.
How did a season of such good form slip quietly by?
England should still be favourites Alec, they are going to score 500 runs, they are at home, they know the conditions, there adoring crowds will give them a lift on the pitch. Hosts make finals of World cups not meekly wilt before the finals. Remember how good your rugby team was in 2015.

I like McCaffery, he brings a heap of rugby smarts to the Ponies pack, a schemer, the link man, can ruck and maul with the best of them, tackles well and doesn’t miss his clean outs. Ponies lose nothing with his inclusion in the starting side. Shame for Samu he played well last week.
