Hallelujah Tickbites! And imagine if they win!

The Broarzilian: Why Brazil can't win the World Cup

Fascinating stuff Dasilva..and prescient enough. Thanks! It just seems incendiary..and there’s significant ‘mainstream’ involvement and tacit support too.

The Broarzilian: Why Brazil can't win the World Cup

Wow..that’s some kind of hubris!

The Broarzilian: Why Brazil can't win the World Cup

Dasilva..I totally agree. Can you imagine the consternation?

The Broarzilian: Why Brazil can't win the World Cup

*Confederations Cup..talking about handling errors!

The Broarzilian: Why Brazil can't win the World Cup

It’s funny Cathal..I heed your opinion..but there doesn’t seem to be a moderate position..your camp envisages easy victory (with Confederates Cup-type pomp) and then there’s myself (and some others) that think they’re vulnerable from a QF on. I just don’t think the critical personnel are equipped to make it happen. We’ll see..ain’t long now!

The Broarzilian: Why Brazil can't win the World Cup

could *he expect.. (oh dear, and I emphasise Julio Cesar’s shortcomimgs..

The Broarzilian: Why Brazil can't win the World Cup

I think he was a nominal first-choice Johnno..but he only played 10 games maximum with Toronto. He’d most likely want back to QPR (after promotion) next league season but could be expect such status back there without a stunning World Cup? He didn’t contribute to Rangers’ latter-season or Play-off success, so why should he?

The Broarzilian: Why Brazil can't win the World Cup

Must admit..I was denouncing Mick Potter midway through that Round 1 second-half against the Dragons. We looked legless. But I’m pleased to reiterate my absolute confidence in him now; about which he should be relieved.

Wests Tigers are a breath of fresh air

Ok mate..I know we’re back on..see response to your first reply when possible. Obviously didn’t realise who wrote the copy; my apologies..

Novak Djokovic vs Joan Sousa: 2014 French Open live scores, blog

Sorry mate..I’m not picking holes for the sake..he’s a favourite of mine that’s all. Tough rooster; evidence of which we may yet behold today in the big time..

And to risk being pedantic, calling Sousa “unheralded” is a little unfair. He won ATP Kuala Lumpur last year with some amazing lock-up hardcourt tennis. Monstered Dave Ferrer in a straight-set QF when the choke was on, butted Jojo Melzer in a semi, and brought too much for Benneteau in the Final. On a slick indoor court cherry-ripe for the Frenchman. He got plenty of kudos that week.

I don’t wish to be a prat..but his name’s Joao Sousa, not Joan. It’s a common Portuguese name. I’ve had to smile because it’s his ‘surname’ (as the anglicised mind would have it) that regularly tricks; there being a Brazilian ATP professional named Joao Souza that bombs (predominantly) around the South American Challengers. Sousa goes better!

The fans will have their justice..bring back the Toowoomba Clydesdales!

Where should the NRL look to next for expansion?

Nice coverage Sean..but Bolts will campaign you next at this rate! It’s Hadley! But I’d concur as to the Origin-bound rounds; I can’t fathom how they’re ‘less’ interesting! We don’t deem club games unimportant if elite players are injured/suspended, so why do we ‘drop off’ ’round Origin time? A lot of careers galvanise this time of year..

NRL Round 11 preview – No Origin players but no shortage of interest.

Fair play Chris..and a valid point..but you’re still rubbish!!

John Morris deserves his turn in the 300-club spotlight

Nice one Lachlan. He’ll deserve this and any other comparably good tribute this weekend. I wasn’t besotted with his Tigers stint and didn’t kick the cat when he left, but I can’t disparage the feat. It’d be more difficult to notch 300 as an average/workmanlike player than an all-timer! At multiple clubs too! Stalwarts and one-club legends get that extra year sometimes. Or two..

John Morris deserves his turn in the 300-club spotlight

Ah..New Wave wasn’t it? Jean-Luc Godard or some such? That seems incorrect. Anyway, he goes alright that Winton. A worthy namesake..

Humming ‘because of’ or ‘due to’ an affiliation..!

Geez Floyd, I’ll get a complex! I love that word!

Exorcising the Demons: Five miraculous sporting turnarounds

Thanks Balthazar..you’re one of the Three Wise Men aren’t you? Suitable place to chime in..

Exorcising the Demons: Five miraculous sporting turnarounds

I think that was Watford FC, Your Holiness. But I will defer to the Gospel, if anyone confirms it. North Melbourne 1975 was on my shortlist! Worthy contenders all..

Well played sir..

Hope nobody copped that tip. Penrith were dreadful and the simplest deductive process will explain Canberra.

Half Time: Penrith $6.50 at the -10.5..particularly good shopping. Watch for their recalibration.

The thing is John, I don’t dislike the bloke! But he’s not a senior club coach. Found an academy Stick! Write a book! Anything!
