Another great article Johnny! I agree that we have talent but it’s up to to the coaches to make that talent world class.
If Aussie rugby doesn’t pull something out of the hat asap I worry it’ll spell the end of our already waning sport

Wallabies depth chart: The list that dispels the myth Aussie rugby doesn’t have enough players

Good article Johnny, love the hype and I agree that dispite our flop in the RWC we have a heap of potential. Having the comp at home in 2027 should be good motivation for our young squad to take it up a few levels.
I don’t understand the hate on JP, he played fine and seems to be getting more and more consistent. I’d even say he stood out with some solid carries and good overall game awareness

27 for '27: The stars of the future who will light up Australia's RWC

Another great article Johnny! I agree, cutting SR teams doesn’t solve any problems, it just shuffles problems around. I would love for SRP to flourish and I agree that it starts with winning more games. Seeing SRP viewership and crowds match the NRL and AFL in 5 years time would be epic!

'Beacon of hope': Wallabies' RWC disaster has made Super Rugby success even more vital for the game's future

Great article Johnny, hopefully the new Donaldson/Kellaway/McDermott combo addresses the lack of tactical flexibility and execution we saw against Fiji.
Also, keen to see Pone Fa’amausili flatten some dragons!

ANALYSIS: Why the Wallabies' breakdown woes could be helped from outside their own camp

Another good read Johnny! Personally I’d like to see IFL start, even if it’s just for the first half. He’s been on form and deserves a moment in the spotlight. Also I think he plays closer to Tates style of footy and can keep the game flowing, Nicks great but I agree that things looked clunky when he came on. It felt like he took control of the game off Carter Gordon

Wallabies bolter has played just one Test - but picking him over veteran would stick to Eddie's new 'mantra'

Love the hype Johnny! Got me keen for the RWC to kick off!!

Top 10 playmakers at Rugby World Cup - and why the Wallabies' young gun has the game's toughest gig

Another great article Johnny! My only worry about Jorgensen is whether he’ll hold up under the physicality and increased technicality of the international stage. It’s hard to say exactly because he missed most of the SRP season, but I feel that once teams started paying attention to him in SRP they were able to shut his game down with relative ease. He has undeniable talent though so we’ll see

ANALYSIS: How lost soul re-emerged to become Eddie's Wallabies 15 - and the surprising back-up who could still star

Hi Tight Head, I think this is already happening. SR has floundered for too long and a lot of our talent is already leaving for overseas or joining the NRL. It sucks but I honestly can’t blame them

Will Skelton originally turned down Wallabies captaincy - it's why Eddie knew he was onto a winner

Great article as per usual Johnny!

ANALYSIS: Wallabies' maul is falling short and their French coach must fix it fast

Another great article Johnny, can’t argue with your selections/reasoning. Keen to see the squad tomorrow!

The 23 Wallabies to win a RWC quarterfinal - and the 10 others who should be in Eddie Jones' squad

Great article as per usual Johnny!

Wallabies' motley crew of coaches in the hotseat on Dunedin D-Day, as players battle for seats on the plane

Well written and measured article as per usual Johnny. Re-watching the game made me think the exact same thing as you stated at the start of the article.
I couldn’t help but think that Eddie Jones is doing his best with what/who he has but it’s evident that he’s hugely under-resourced and starved of young talent.
Where Union is struggling the NRL is thriving and its continual rise can be largely attributed to investing in grassroots programs in Australia and Polynesia that attract talent to their sport (similar to what David Nucifora and the IRFU have done in Ireland). Unless RA can do the same I can’t help but think that Union in Australia will be sidelined and the Wallabies will become a 2nd tier team in the next 10/20 years. Something that would be an absolute shame.

Where there’s life there’s hope - and there's plenty of life left in this Wallabies side

I’d like to see Asafo Aumua get a run, he causes havoc whenever he plays for the canes. Had had a great year in my opinion

Another great article and great assesment of the game!!

'Unbearable to watch': Superstar's struggles sum up woes - but Eddie just 10 percent away from a breakthrough

Great article as usual Johnny! Can’t fault your squad, would be great (or at least very entertaining) to see Pone Fa’amausili get a run in Melbourne against the ABs but you can’t have everything. Keen to see how we go on Saturday!

'Aussie bomb squad' to ensure Wallabies can pressure All Blacks until the end

Great article as usual Johnny! Nearly spot on with your pick for the squad v the Pumas as well!!

ANALYSIS: Eddie Jones has no time for passion projects in World Cup year, kick heavy gameplan is here to stay

Great article Johnny, missed this interview so it was good to be kept in the loop. I agree that the reffing was a bit off, with one try clearly being held up in my opinion. Although I understand the coaches concern for his players safety, I can’t help but feel that even if the ref was on point Ireland would have had the day either way, we were clearly outmatched in the rainy conditions
