Lets keep it in perspective. It was stupid and grubby thing to do but nobody got hurt and he more grabbed and pushed rather than swinging for maximum impact. It is far less dangerous than the third man in taking legs which is creeping back into the game or the twisting of players when their legs are caught underneath others. Not saying its acceptable and it definitely deserves a suspension but calm down.

'That's just crap': Joey Leilua savaged for complete moment of madness

Good point about Keary. His best games over the past 2 years has been when Cronk was out. Or on the field as a non participant. Keary is the dominant half now no question but to say that the Roosters can put any nuffy in the 7 and still be successful is a ridiculous argument. Flanagan is still learning and is far from the finished product but the boy can play.

Kyle Flanagan: The quiet achiever

And then a year later Mitchell Pearce wasn’t even considered good enough. Maybe Ben Hunt could win a premiership there.

Kyle Flanagan: The quiet achiever

So anyone can play halfback for the Roosters and they still win?

Kyle Flanagan: The quiet achiever

I don’t know how much involvement Cronk is having with Kyle but his game has certainly developed since the start of the year. I know Coopers instructions would be don’t try to be the star your job is to let others do that. One thing when you mentioned that the Roosters would not of signed him if they didn’t think he was up to it. At one stage they had Jackson Hastings and Jayden Nikorima as their future so everyone makes mistakes.

Kyle Flanagan: The quiet achiever

Yeah its becoming a pretty tired narrative the old “anyone could play well in that Roosters side”. I feel your hip and knees may be in a bit of trouble if Jesse Bromwich ever decides to run at you.

Scott it may have been you that wrote an article during the pause in the competition earlier this year. It was the list of games to rewatch. It has inspired me to compile a list of games this year that will go straight to the playlist to pass the summer away.

The NRL benchmark hasn't changed in 2020

Nah I mean what the video ref has always ruled on nothing more.

Toupu has been strong under pressure all year but two critical errors last night. Also on the left edge Cordner made some bad ones. I’m going to excuse him for the golden point drop. If he wasn’t hard wired to jump up and play the ball fast he would’ve stayed down and someone else plays it. Even though it’s a night he would be glad he won’t remember.

I’d like the captains challenge limited to try scoring but anyway. Hey Baz as a Dogs supporter -and I hope I haven’t already asked this- what is your take on the twins. They were pretty much paddling at the Dogs now they are among the comps best. We’re you disappointed at the time when they left?

The NRL benchmark hasn't changed in 2020

There may be a bigger difference between the top teams and the ones at the bottom this season. On the surface that may be a bad thing but the positive is when the top teams play each other the game is spectacular. Last night, Roosters v Eels, Newcastle v Penrith and the Western derby are some that spring to mind. I know now is not the time but if only we had less teams in the comp we would get more games like that.

The yo yo syndrome at the Raiders was well established before Ricky arrived.

18-year career coach keeps suffering second-year syndrome

Interesting you talk about karma. This should’ve and would’ve been the grand final replay if the Raiders didn’t get the rails run in the semi against Melbourne.

LAST TIME THEY MET: The clutch Roosters play that knocked Melbourne out of the 2019 season

I seem to remember Keebra park winning the National Schoolboys title at some stage as well.

Can the All Blacks play rugby league?

Rugby could have challenged soccer?? I assume you mean in the UK and empire.

Can the All Blacks play rugby league?

Why not include Hulk Hogan and The Rock as well.

Can the All Blacks play rugby league?

Great point soda. If Rugby is this great global sport why are the ABs even thinking about this?

Can the All Blacks play rugby league?

I find this an interesting discussion but please don’t have the game!! It would mean nothing. The two games are different let’s move on. Do they still play that AFL v Ireland thing? It is a real shame that the split happened but it did. Move on and let us enjoy the sports as they are.

Can the All Blacks play rugby league?

I guess it’s because he played from the bench last week.

NRL Round 8 teams: Friend back for Roosters, Broncos drop Oates

Yeah I was going to comment how strange it would be to have Scott on the bench but like you came to the conclusion he won’t play. Rapana calf strain 1 to 2

NRL Round 8 teams: Friend back for Roosters, Broncos drop Oates

Ricky finally pulled the trigger on Curtis Scott.

NRL Round 8 teams: Friend back for Roosters, Broncos drop Oates

Under normal circumstances definitely not. Players have way too much say as it is but we are not in normal circumstances. Call it a risk assessment. There is far more to lose than there is to gain

Warriors could fly back to NZ after Storm spanking

Great point Baz. Same could be said of James Roberts who has not had an impact in a game for a season and a half. Even McCullough wasn’t in the Broncos top side that’s why he was released. Does anyone think if the Broncos still had either or all of those three things would be different? Even mentioning Isakko is a strange one. He has been part of the floggings for most of this season.

I am disgusted and ashamed to be a Broncos fan

The old “he tries hard and gives it everything ” line doesn’t really cut it though. There are plenty of players running around in park footy who try hard and play with passion. Alex certainly tries hard but him impact is not what it needs to be for a forward leader. Would love to see him in TPJs body.

As a Broncos supporter you have been exempt from seasons like this. Every other club has been through it. The good news is that your coach only has 3 years plus an option in his favour for a 4th.
