I think that you should ask what your cricket board where doing. England has suffered far worse than Australia from the virus but we still have games to watch

England's giant Ashes advantage due to uneven Test schedule

England’s first test is the 5–9 February

Three things to look for in the India vs England series

Yeah a typical appraisal, wonder what you are going to say if it’s wrong?

Three things to look for in the India vs England series

Yes unlucky but England still won by 6 wickets.

Another week, another truly bizarre dismissal for Joe Root

Egland win by seven wickets, easy win and a no trouble at all.

Joe Root's chaotic run out leaves England in danger of blowing simple run chase

I love how the game of cricket makes fools of Pundits, both professional and amateurs.
Sri Lankawe 130
England heading for 400 plus.

Three English players under the pump in Sri Lanka

Well that’s interesting all out aggression against India’s spinners. It’s not something I would advise but we will see.

Australia must attack India's spinners at SCG

You simply can’t “wield the axe” after two games, India was stuffed in the first test and Australia stuffed in the second. The series is all square, at least play the team that won the first game.
As far as I know the selectors have dropped only one player so we shall see.

The silent killer of Aussie cricket

All means a team that couldn’t make 400 in two innings not the fault of one player, what were the other 20 doing?

The silent killer of Aussie cricket

Your missing the point, the axe was welded at ALL Australian team members not one player

The silent killer of Aussie cricket

In a matter of a few days India were dismissed for 30 odd and now a Pundit wants to wield a big axe on the Australian players. How many times have you seen a batsman make less than ten in the first innings and make over 100 in the second? Same pitch, same bowlers. It’s the unpredictable part of the game that is a large part of its charm.
As for money I don’t envy them a single penny. Pro cricketers are way down the list of other sports professionals and for most it’s all over before they reach forty.
Come on guys, stop whinging and look forward to the next Test.

The silent killer of Aussie cricket

Cricket has a tendency to make fools of all of us. Just a few days ago India were skitte out for thirty odd. Now we need to take an axe to the team and replace them. Where are you going to get a fresh team, out of the Big Bash League?

Australia must swing the axe for Sydney

Sorry but you have lost this one big time.

Australia winning the Boxing Day Test is anything but a certainty

PS: England thrash South Africa by 9 wickets Scorecard-SA 192 Eng 193 in 17.4overs.

The problem with one day cricket

We can talk about rules until the cows come home but unfortunately none of us make the rules. I think the strength of limited over teams lives in the ability to bat all the way down. That doesn’t mean they can’t be beaten though they can set a reasonable score when the early batsmen fail.I also think that what we don’t need is more rules, what we do need are good games to watch and enjoy.

The problem with one day cricket

Has anyone taken a look at the Big Bash crowd? At least half the crowd have a fairly hazy idea of the existing rules of the game let along adding others. Before cooperate business smelt a profit and took over and ruined the format, it was a fun night out for the whole family with a game of cricket thrown in and it worked well the stadiums were more or less full.
Yes I know the purists here will not agree but surely there’s plenty of real cricket the whole year round to satisfy them. Personally I wonder how long the Big Bash will last now, the crowd fell off a lot last year and I get the feeling Cricket Australia aren’t really interested.

Warner won't juggle BBL with Aussie duties

In England, way back when I was a kid I remember Benaud as a radio cominitator more than a TV one. Before Benaud there was John Allott I’m not sure if they shared ever a commentary, if they did it would have been indeed a feast to listen to . In marked contrast last years Big Bash commentary for me was an example of how not to do one. Non stop chatter with two old cricketers and a Pundit twiddling with his pen and trying hard to join in. it was so bad I turned the sound off.

'Only one Richie Benaud': The importance of a great sporting commentary team

Warner, a good bat but vulnerable to the swinging ball. But I have no respect for him as a man. To choose a new member who is so anxious to please, to do his dirty work for him is pretty low down. There are many cricket lovers here as well as those who have played the game at a decent level. I can guess what answer they would give if to be asked to cheat in the same manner. Just two words I leave it to you guess what they would be.

Can Bancroft bounce back?

Yes it sounds like she has a serious problem. Off topic, England v West Indies 20×20 series, England win Five nil but catching and fielding were well below average, work to be done.

Perry done for series after another hamstring setback

Excuses? Sure I could give you a lot but No, Instead Congratulations to Australia and well done ,you came back from the dead , a great game to watch . See you all at the Big Bash, if they get it on, Hope its better than the last one.
Take care.

A little bit of resilience goes a long way for Justin Langer's men

I take you’re point Paul but each time when you should have won, your opening bats did their job and set the amount of runs and overs left were more than enough to win the game, you can’t ask for more of your opening batsmen.
I am not saying that your solution would not work but I think that you’re selectors will not change the batting order.

Australia collapse, England win second ODI

Hmm? If you place your best batsmen lower down the you leave weaker bats facing the new ball, not sure that’s the answer.

Australia collapse, England win second ODI

Jos Buttler –Wicket keeping is not the place for a captain, let him Keep and bat.
Ben Stokes–Carries too much baggage, a ticking time bomb. Let him do what he does best.
Jofra Archer– Are you kidding? a lot of growing up to do.
Joe Root– Great bat but inclined to be unsure of what to do at times
Tom Banton– Interesting though I know little about him.
However follows Morgan has one hell of a job to do. Outstanding captain and leads by example most of the time and is always calm on the field which radiates though the team.

Potential successors to Eoin Morgan as England's white-ball captain

No team ever lets the opposing team score runs or take their wickets, the idea it does is frankly stupid. Both teams have serious problems, England on loosing their top batsmen early and Australia a batting collapse after their top bats have made the win pretty easily. Of the two I think Australia has the harder task because a collapse in losing 8 for 60 odd is some collapse, anyway on Wednesday we will find out.

Australia collapse, England win second ODI

This excuse is getting a bit over used now. Australia have played five games in quick succession , if their not now match fit then they should change their fitness coach.
