Agree with all your points bored. Would add that the skills of the Wallabies are virtually non existent, and referees that seem to think that the game is all about them makes the game very unwatchable.

'Bloody disappointed: Wallabies OUT of World Cup as nation to miss finals for first time, Eddie fights for survival

You may note that Alan Jones was very popular on radio, and consider whether that is a good indicator of a person’s character. The cult of personality means jack to me as the people that make such dinosaurs popular are not the people that figure in my life. Probably impossible to do, but, if you could listen to some tapes of when he was a league caller your opinion may change, maybe not.

Fox League's decision to hire Ray Hadley is baffling

Crash, I’m a boomer and don’t hold any of the traits that you so readily generalise are indicators of a whole generation. By the look of how you put down all boomers, you give an insight of what you may be like in later years.

Fox League's decision to hire Ray Hadley is baffling

Fox can hire who they like, anything associated with Murdoch is toxic anyway. As for Hadley’s fair resume, he is one of the all times worse league caller with little knowledge of the game. His less than desirable characteristics have been well documented. Fox deserves him.

I watch the footy with the sound down so as not to hear Gould or Johns. All the ABC radio caller does is scream, so that’s out. As for the various football shows, there’s not enough time left to listen to journos who, from their opinions, have never played league in their lives. Bring on ther Roar.

Sam the only time that I like golden point is when it goes my team’s way, as it did when Tom got the try. To be honest though, I think that we should still have the draw as an option, the game is for 80 minutes(or there abouts) and no matter what the score is it should finish at the 80 minute mark.

Tom Burgess' effort was a great golden-point try - here's why I dislike it

The sin binning was irrelevant, what was more damning was the pathetic effort by Souths in general, and Reynolds and Walker specifically, an embarrassment to the jumper.

South Sydney's pretend contenders can have no complaints about Su'A's sin-bin

Glory, Glory.

Timing is everything as Parramatta's premiership campaign goes up in smoke

I can only hope Don, that this a tongue in cheek comment! Keith Miller was one of the most fearless and gifted cricketers, let alone sportsman, of his generation.

Mitchell Marsh’s dismissal is an excuse Australia don’t deserve

Hooliganism tarnishes Good Friday clash

I agree Rellum, the way both coaches and players constantly blame the refs is a joke. Refs are human and because of that are prone to making mistakes, deal with it and move on. What is making nrl look bad is the whinging coaches, the outbursts by the likes of Graham and Lyons and the tribal aggression of a few supporters. Let’s get back to enjoying league for great game that is.

Hooliganism tarnishes Good Friday clash

Yewonk, you seem to be missing the point here. The throwing of objects cannot be condoned or the constant verbal attacks on referees by players be tolerated. I believe that the behaviour by James Grahame was an absolute disgrace. This is not the first time that he has been in a referees face, giving them an absolute spray. He has a lot to answer for.
