For God sake, who would select Beale in any representative team. He is not good enough (and hasn’t been for a decade) to play for either the Tahs or the wallabies.
Let’s face it, his selection by Cheika was simply a payback for giving him the wallaby coach role. As it was with the selection AAC and to a less extent Hooper.

Having Roff, Herbert and Waugh heading the charge for AU is enough for diehard rugby fans to be worried. Their claim to fame is playing the 15man game. They are not administrators and will have no clue how to deal with this issue. They will pay for talent which should be present on the board and within the Senior Management team.
Compared to the Administration running the AFL, NRL and FA, AU is a bunch of amateurs and that’s where the code should return.

Big Ned was a favourite of Cheika’s and never lived up to the Wallaby jersey. Eddie made a good call for not selecting him. The best blindside flanker in Australia at present is Liam Wright. He continues to be ignored by coaches and commentators. I watched my team get beat 2 weeks ago by the Reds and I thought the difference in both teams were the loose 3, led by Wright. He is constantly doing the 1% that get little or no attention but make such a big difference to the team. If McReight sneezes, the commentators get excited.

Not a fan of Farrell. Has got away with poor tackles for years. Looks like and act like a sook. But I’m an Aussie, so only right I should dislike him. But the Poms have this ability to eat their own. I recently saw the Becks series on Netflix. How much did he and his family suffer at the hands of pathetic cowards from his own country. There is only one person Poms hate more than themselves and that’s an Aussie. Gee it makes me proud.

If Herbie wants RA and himself to be successful, he needs to surround himself with talent. People who will challenge him and other decision makers, but unite behind him when a decision is made. Look outside Rugby. Look at the former leaders of other codes and sport…. Cricket, AFL, league.
Look for leaders in other countries…. Ireland, England, NZ etc.
I believe RA has one more chance to get this right. If the Lions tour and RWC are NOT hosted by a strong squad and Administration, then it’s all over.

The final was a game where I had no favourite. I was only hoping for a cracker of a 80 plus minutes. And that’s what we got. I was pleased with the result and over awed with incredible game led by Pete (MOTM). Kiwis…should just accept they were outplayed and out muscled. As for the Wallabies …they should have not turned up in the shape and condition they were in. Let’s hope in 4 years we are more competitive and possibly in the final!!

Yep, I watched the game and there is no do0ubt Michael Hooper is past his best. He fell of tackles, was no threat with the ball and was a yard of the pace. Simone Kuruvoli was the best of the Baa Baas. I thought Bell and Thor had terrific games and I remain of the belief Valetini is nothing more than a State player. Unlike other No 8’s he never dominates. Unfortunately, there is no staring replacement at present. Maybe Tom Hooper could develop into one. Good to see Rugby over for the year. It is also good to be rid of the poison created by Eddie. Yet, it looks like those who appointed him will continue to drag the rugby code in Australia to extinction.

Foley and Hooper were supported far beyond their shelf life. At the same time others have felt their best option was to explore other rugby destinations, such as Europe and Japan before they reached their prime. Neither Hooper and Foley deserved the guarantee of their position regardless of form. Their “soft” treatment only caused negativity in players and fans. Hooper was given the additional role of captain, when the team and code was screaming for leadership. On such a high salary, Hooper was not seen in other Australian regions except on game day. He did little to unite or excite the fans or fellow play. QC was an excitement machine but lost his pace and mojo 5 years ago. Eddie should have brought the broom out, but swept out more than players past their shelf life.

I’m not a fan of Eddie. He came back to the Wallabies in the same way he left. With arrogance, bitterness and a taste of revenge.
I believe most fans were willing to give him another shot. In fact many of us believed he could be the saviour of a code we all love, but for many years watched it reduce in stature.
The Wallabies and the Australian rugby fan needs Eddie Jones today. We need someone with the courage to make the tough decisions (even if they’re not popular) and continue to look at what must be done to bring the wallabies back to the front of the world rugby pack.
If there is anyone that should be removed it is those on the board who have allowed Australian rugby down this path. We have become the laughing stock of world rugby.
Eddie needs to be controlled and needs a strong characters above him, beside him, and reporting to him. He needs to be questioned and challenged in all his decisions.
There is no one else available, willing and has the skill to bring Australian rugby back from the brink.

An ugly team the Poms. They talk themselves up as the change agents of the game. They lose against the Aussies on home soil and complained about the “spirit of the game”.
