During your dinner with Dave Rennie did you tell him, in your role as Hamish McLennan & Eddie Jones’ PR man, that he was about to be sacked?

Controversial Rugby Australia policy to be shelved after Wallabies disaster

Hope Jaco Peyper gets to referee one of Ireland’s games when Sexton is playing. 😂

Drivers, floaters and strategists: Ranking the top flyhalves ahead of the Rugby World Cup

Sheek, That is just about the best summary of Rugby Australia’s issues today and the reasons why they exist that I have read.

Ex-Wallaby lashes 'disgusting negativity' after Knuckles' 'bloody disaster' rant on Eddie

The long term downward spiral started under the oversight of John O’Neil & Eddie Jones from 2001 Lions tour onwards.
22 years later what has improved?

'No idea': Campo confused by Eddie's tactics as Wallabies great says 'anything could happen' in Bledisloe opener

Harry,
Not much chance that Scotland are “pummeled at home”, but am hoping they win in Paris!

Six Nations 'knockouts' begin now: Where round three battles will be decided

It should also ne noted that Australia have dropped to 7th in the World Ranking since Eddie Jones took over 😂 https://www.world.rugby/tournaments/rankings/mru

Scorched earth Wallabies! EVERY one of Rennie's coaches now GONE in Eddie revolution

Interestingly the SMH report has been reworded today, “Dave Rennie will be spared the axe, but it could yet fall on Eddie Jones as Australia and England react to horror Test seasons” which suggests a distinct lack of reasearch by Georgina Robinson or dodgy information sources.

Maybe the SMH could have just copied Saturday’s artice from the BBC which suggests all will be come clear NEXT week.

Not so fast: Eddie gets stay of execution as speculation brews about Jones getting sacked by RFU

Waxhead,
A good mate of mine was one of the 84 Grand Slam team and when I first asked him about Jones as a coach he pretty much confirmed what you have stated.
He also ‘retired’ shortly after at the tender age of 27.

Alan Jones to coach my favourite Wallaby team

Harry,
Scotland won 3 games under Townsend last year.

Who will be kings of Europe? Every team's strengths, weaknesses and key players for the 2022 Six Nations

“The two biggest blights on the game and the greatest source of penalties are breakdowns and scrums. The solutions are really simple and bullet proof. What stops rugby achieving them is a stubborn refusal to look beyond the latest interpretation.”
What are the “simple and bullet proof solutions” you refer to?

Is it too late to reverse rugby's long decline?

Great summary

Is it too late to reverse rugby's long decline?

I believe that part of the article was about predictions?
Prediction tends to precede events and evidence is after the event?

“can make 80% of his goal kicks and tackles” That’ll be an all time 1st unless of course doesn’t attempt any. 😂

Why the Wallabies must re-institute free-flowing rugby

“Los Pumas ……. no previous matches like the other three competitors is a big mountain to climb.”

What were these 2 games then?

The Thursday rugby two-up: The Rugby Championship is here (somewhere)

Great assessment Daniel.
I reckon, in addition to what you have pointed out, you will find that Dave Rennie will have assessed the current squad on on his cultural criteria where he wants them to be not just be well paid players but involved in the rugby community.
On that basis, expect a few established players that haven’t understood that to disappear from the Wallaby scene.

Breaking down the year that was for Dave Rennie's Wallabies

Unsure who the “representatives of the cash rich clubs” from “England and France” were at the forum, as neither were invited. They are apparently not happy about not being part of forum.

My understanding is that there is understandible confusion as to how 2020 will play out but that the forum is still collectively positive about working out a global calendar in the longer term and “More talks will take place as a matter of urgency, with a World Rugby council meeting scheduled for the end of June.”

European clubs throw spanner in global rugby talks, because of course they have

“A proper social media clause”

Can anyone construct one?

The Code of Conduct covered it and was dealt with appropriately.

Raelene Castle resigns as Rugby Australia CEO

I was just about to comment on how good Daniel Jeffrey’s article was on the “Captain’s Letter” when this article flashed up.

Good on you Raelene for walking away from this bollocks.

Will look forward to hearing what the Captains have to say, their plans now that have what they want and who they nominate as the Great Redeemer of Australian Rugby.

Just as you thought things couldn’t sink any lower!
