When The Tigers win the Cup (poor ole Collingwood agggaain) and Brodie gets the Brownlow I will be taking a week off on my Sportsbet multi winnings.
Its time to get back to the ruckman glory years of Stynes and Wynd…ok even Goodes #notarealruckman

Five predictions for this weekend’s AFL preliminary finals

Enthusiasm doesnt make up for lack of understanding of the game. I’d rather listen to Carey, Taylor, Matthews and King then listen to McAvaney’s inane postulating about marque players making basic training run passes and how much they celebrate their own self worth. Bruce please go back to polishing your Michael Johnson gold running spikes and leave us with commentators who understand the game.

Who deserves to broadcast the AFL?

Ronan you are as professional Journalist and self identify that bias flavours articles. I agree with a lot of what you say in this article regards Petrie and Lloyd but question the reality of Journalist approach versus Opinionistic articles or commentary from explayers tying to branch into a new career. It is very rare to find a sound investigated, analysed and reported issue that does not have inherant bias.

Is the AFL media biased?

So many opportunities to show their management of the rules of the game is beyond reproach instead they counter the age old “Ignorance is no defence..” with a resounding, “Yes it is because we say so, na na neena nahhh!”

Greg Bird is dead-set lucky

“This was an incredible statement for McLachlan to make.” WTF His job is to market a product that expands its market share. Of course he wants entertaining football, but what he marks as entertainment and what I as a fan wants may be quite different.
Leave technical football issues to coaches and clubs and brand management to the AFL. Never the twain should meet and evolution will continue.
The purests will hate and the ignorant will rumble but rest assured there will be footy next weekend and we will watch….because even with its bastardised evolving ways, even an average rolling maul game of footy still far better then any game of rugby league or soccer.

Don't try and change our game, McLachlan

If the NRL wants to manage its brand, manage your future. Junior club service could be the best outcome…but on second thoughts do I want my kids near that kind of person???? I think not.

Pearce free to play Origin for NSW

looks like you found the wrong forum deanp….beat up was addressing a drugs in sport issue on a sporting forum. you are flogging a dead horse political issue…perhaps you should try and keep on track

ASADA - from best practice to basket case

The trouble with these investigations is that they take time. How long did it take to catch Lance Armstrong(18 years) or Barry Bonds (10+)? and both of them had to admit it to stick…Sandor Earls situation is he admitted it and will recieve minimum 2 years so whether it takes 23 months to advise him who cares the games better without him. Jobe Watson should be in the same situation. As for the 40 Bombers and 17 Sharks they should be happy they are still playing and being paid. The quicker they resolve it the better but investigations take time and if due process isnt followed it becomes more of a farce then it already is.
