Sam Mitchell,is my favorite player. My most memorable match was North Adelaide v Carlton at Adelaide Oval. Being a joiner by trade my best quote is "Measure twice & cut once. and my favorite sportsman of all time is Mohammed Ali. The worlds greatest athlete EVER.closely followed by Sally Pearson, techniqually the perfect Hurdler.

I think Kangajets is getting a little carried away with himself regarding the Crows magnificent win against Geelong.to condemn Longmire & Cameron is insulting, they are two of the BETTER coaches in the AFL,…yes Pyke is a good coach but very inexperienced and will improve as time goes by.IMO Longmire & Clarkson are the two best coaches in AFL strategically followed closely by Worsfold….FUTURE TOP COACHES?? PYKE-GOODWIN AND WITHOUT A SHADOW OF DOUBT ………..SAM MITCHELL

Adelaide firm favourites for the flag, regardless of opponent

SBW is a very good players and that’s it,he is nowhere near the top one and a lot of people (including himself) think he is No1 but I and millions of others think (know) that he is overrated and like his countryman Marshall should come down a few rungs of the ladder to a more acceptable level…..if I had to choose between him & Sam Burgess to be in MY team I wouldn’t need to think twice….BURGESS

Sonny Bill Williams – The greatest athlete who never became a league legend

With all this blabber going on about the quality of the Aussie team in comparison with the other cricketing nations the fact clearly remains,…THIS IS THE WORST AUSTRALIAN TEAM FOR 40 YEARS.

Australia don't deserve top Test ranking yet

I would much rather have Sam Burgess in my team than SBW….he vanishes quite often in every game I have seen him play but Burgess is into everything all 80 minutes….(I don’t like Burgess as a man because of his Squirrel tackles (Nutcracker suites)

Sonny Bill Williams – The greatest athlete who never became a league legend

Cadfael you are 100%right in your assessment of SBW.a very good player but nowhere near the top of the “pecking order”

Sonny Bill Williams – The greatest athlete who never became a league legend

I totally agree that we should not be awarded the No1 ranking,Australia were beaten in England in 2013 when we had a poor side then we beat them in Australia with just about the same team,so in my opinion Australia have got the worst team I have seen for over 50 years but were still capable of beating the Sarfies on their own grounds.I think it might be another couple of years ( when the transition is over) before we acquire a team that can make us proud again, meanwhile we can just keep on belting the crap out of the poms with what we have got.

Australia don't deserve top Test ranking yet

Sonny Bill Williams is a very good player but nowhere near being legendary, not anywhere near the class of several current players and certainly not in the same walk of life as Darren Lockyer or Slater.or Smith.he is OVER-RATED.

It doesn’t begin to compare with the Southern hemisphere competition,New Zealand,Australia,South Africa,Argentina. where do you get the idea from when you say it is the most passionate and intriguing competition outside the RWC,for everyone agreeing with you there will be 50 disagreeing.

Six Nations finale: Ireland's to lose

What is sport coming to? cheating at every conceivable opportunity, no morals whatsoever and the players are continuously making fools of both themselves and their clubs.

Umpire overturns LBW call in Shield match

Personally I would not care who takes over as AFL-CEO as long as it isn’t Eddie McGuire,he would have to be the most biased personality on television, Collingwood would get an even bigger slice of the cake, and god knows they get far more than their share now.

Does Lance Armstrong deserve another chance?

Let us not rubbish the Sarfies,OK we have the first test under our belt but we must not get complacent, they are 10 rungs on the ladder higher than the poms and are quite capable of coming back (unlike the gutless poms) they are also still the No1 team in the world and we should treat them as such at least until we have won the series…….and as I have been saying for quite a while,I dont think anyone other than Clark would have made the Australian team of the 2003 period.

South Africa vs Australia live: First Test, Day Four live scores, blog

I think we shouldn’t get too cocky about this victory,…don’t forget IMO we haven’t got a good side by any means any complacency in SA and we could get our hides tanned,The poms are exceptionally crappy at present not Australia being exceptionally good,we still need time to get back to the 2003 era…I dont expect more than 3 or 4 of the current team to feature in the future TOP Aussie team.

How Melbourne became Durham, the one that got away

You obviously are very a one eyed pom,I have been watching first class cricket fo rnearly 70 years and I could namer 20 or more seam bowler that would leave Anderson for dead.

Arise Sir James Anderson, the finest swing bowler ever
