Totally disagree with the “mentally frail” assessment.

Ex-Wallabies skipper to miss Perth Sevens in 'disappointing' setback

he made zero line breaks
From the article:
“Playing from quick ball, Hooper burst through the line from a lovely, flat Izaia Perese pass.”
Both can’t be correct.

Eddie's painful reminder of what might have been at World Cup as big name Wallabies star despite Baabaas defeat

Agreed. It’s a shame for him that the cloak of invisibility was retired in 2015.

WORLD VIEW: 'Disgrace'- strange slap for Boks coaches after 'beautifully ugly' 'shambles' of a World Cup final

Yet his comment was accurate.

'Complete dismantling': Eddie apologises for World Cup debacle, Hoops calls out moment that summed it up

One highly regarded indigenous Australian has said “This is one of the nation’s most divisive referendums we’ve ever experienced in our country’s history,” (Shadow Minister for Indigenous Australians Jacinta Nampijinpa Price)
If she can see it, why won’t others?

Should Australian sport be raising its voice?

Tony Abbott is one white Australian/politician who has taken enormous steps to get involved in Aboriginal communities. Not too many others in his position have spent time in indigenous communities like he has, and his experience (a minimum of one week a year for a decade) should give him some gravitas when he has an opinion about The Voice.

Should Australian sport be raising its voice?

That’s terrific Charlie, but why do you insist that your personal opinion be supported by RA and by extension all rugby followers?
They didn’t do a survey of all rugby supporters to gauge the predominant feeling did they?
I’d hazard a guess that 50% of the rugby community does not support The Voice and RA has simply chosen the path of least possible resistance. They won’t get hounded by the media for their stance and will get brownie points from government which will be important in the near future.

In relation to the four counts, the charges were withdrawn.
Which puts De Belin squarely in the category of all people, including the author of this article, as innocent until proven guilty.
One does not get “found innocent” by a criminal court, to the best of my knowledge.
One gets found guilty or is acquitted.
Not only did De Belin maintain his innocence through his ordeal, his lawyer clearly said “The presumption of innocence remains intact.”

Making de Belin captain of Dragons a sad indictment on a club that doesn't know what true leadership looks like

I really liked Hoops’ “old school” open side breakaway performance in constantly harassing the 9 and 10. His tackling was on song and his ability to quickly get back in play after a defensive effort make him worth 2 players.

'A hole in confidence': Brave Waratahs go down in slog fest as Chiefs continue unbeaten run in SRP

Well, the net ballers have dug a hole for themselves by aligning themselves with the Victorian government.
Now they will have to check every past utterance by labor members of parliament for inappropriate words.
Secondly, by accepting the government bail-out, the netballers have said they are fine with the Victorian government using armed force against its citizens during the anti-lockdown protests.
The Diamonds are also OK with pregnant women being arrested for thought crimes whilst in their pjs. Oh of course they are also ok with police pepper spaying grannies who have fallen on the ground.
The ultimate irony is that the anti-mining protest by the Diamonds is now in tatters since they are taking sponsorship money from a government which willingly accepts mining royalties.

Diamond Dan: Vic government backs netball with $15m deal after sponsorship debacle

There is no such thing as a subsidy to the mining industry. Tax concessions yes like all other profit-making enterprises. Subsidies only flow to “renewables” in the energy sector.

Nice work Tony.
The new headline reflects the respect the rest of the article presents.

'Great time in my life': Hoops explains why he left the Wallabies, where he's at, and what comes next

Diamonds are compressed carbon and have to be mined.
Time for a new name for our top netball team.

Hancock slams 'virtue signalling' netballers after pulling pin on $15 million Netball Australia sponsorship

Can we get rid of the “Walked Out” headline?
Deadbeat dads walk out on their families.
Players and coaches with no commitment to their clubs walk out looking for greener pastures.
CEOs walk out of their company when profits nosedive.
Walked Out is a derogatory term and in no way describes Michael Hooper’s gutsy decision to take a mental health break. Withdrawing from the team was done as much for the team’s sake as his own, so walking out is a terrible way to describe Hooper’s actions.

You are right Short Arm.
A quick internet search shows that yes, indeed, Naidoc week was sponsored by Hancock Prospecting. (2001 Perth Awards Sponsor)

Could Gina transfer her financial support to the Wallaroos?

There is a lot more to this controversy than ‘supporting a team mate”.
Shani Norder described Hancock Prospecting as climate deniers and appears to have said HP is destroying the environment.
She is at war with Netball Australia and her Zoom meeting with the team just prior to the Constellation Cup led directly to the players refusing to wear the HP logo. Norder’s position as a Sports Environment Alliance ambassador is driving the issue, not a 40-year old statement from a long dead businessman.

Time on the pitch – a key ingredient in developing our players. Hence my enthusiasm for the Australia A concept.
A few more games on the Spring Tour would have delivered additional time on the pitch. Surely games against quality teams could have been organised for the Wednesdays before the five tests in October/November.
Yes I know it’s old fashioned to have midweek games (except for the Melbourne test!) but we are running short of matches before the RWC squad is chosen.

Why Noah Lolesio should be trusted with the Wallabies' reins on Spring Tour

Great article Geoff.
