There is now a quickly growing public perception that Ricky is a poor coach and that no one wants to play for him. I believe this is the case, but even if it were not, perception is everything. It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy with every poor result the Raiders have. No new players, more poor results, more heat on RIcky, no new players… etc. He is a dead man walking.

In 2009 the NRL amended the laws of the game with a clause in Section 11, which stated that a defender was to be penalised for tackling the legs of the kicker in mid air after the ball has been kicked. I have gone through the current 2014 edition and can’t find such a clause. Does anyone know if this is still in the laws of the game?

Hayne was fantastic apart from one or two errors, Morris boys both inspirational carrying injuries, halves proved they are up to it. Gonna be very hard to win another but i think the blues might have it this year.

I heard that the ARU offer was around 300 and the pitch they made was more about worldwide opportunities… Surely he isn’t worth more than that; he’s well known in Sydney but has no where near the marketing value of a Folau/SBW marquee type. I can see how an NRL club could justify 5-6 hundred, but when you consider there are blokes like Brenton Lawrence or Bromwich from Melbourne probably floating around for 150 odd… Surely you’ve got to wonder…
