At prop maybe our second and back rows are still world class and this illustrates my point. It’s how they work collectively that matters.

Fainga’anuku had a terrible game. Who’s a better 13?

Wayne Smith needs to be around somewhere

Reiko is still the best 13 in NZ. ALB and Goodhue are arn’t the answer we’ve seen how they go against rush defence.

Playng with less players will always have an effect against a good team, but I’ve seen no evolution in our attacking game since the WC. We still have most of the best players in the world. How many Irish would make the AB sqaud? Sexton? no way in hell. It comes down to getting these players to play effectively together. Ie game plan and coaching. You start Mounga, Jordan and Grace there would have been no difference.

Savea at 7?

Historically that sits pretty high on a list of worst AB losses.

He was ok. I think 6 is fair. Dropped a crucial pass, no turnovers. Looks slow. He got credit for Ofa’s tackle. Scott Barret and Ardie were excellent. I was watching him in a 2020 game when he was literally everywhere. He’s not the Sam Cane of old and he hasn’t developed his game in other areas like Ritchie did at the end of his career.

ANALYSIS: 'As good a quarter in Foster's reign' powers All Blacks to big win and lets coach breathe easier

Jordie’s D at Fullback is a worry. As he’s not as agile and lacks pace of other outside backs he gets found out. Under the highball, his physicality and kicking game he’s world class which makes him super safe. I also really rate him at 12. Would like to see Jordan given a shot at 15 which puts Reece at 14 with a power winger at 11. Reece is too good to be left out on current form.

how so?

It was Ofa that made that tackle of Furlong

would rather have 3 7s in the back row than SB at 6

All Blacks squad: RTS misses cut, surprise Scott Barrett call, Leicester gets debut, Mo'unga on bench

There’s a reason they had to make so many tackles.

And Blackadder got dropped after Ireland. I wouldn’t read much into either decision. We will see when the team is named for Ireland, but with Blackadder out and the history, he’s in for sure. He didn’t even make your notable omissions. I think he’s being coached to play out wide cause of his running game as shown against Aus. Blackadder doesn’t have that running game so is coached to play tight. Will be tough for Frizell with bugger all game time. Besides that to me your squad looks great. Robinson pretty much played himself into the squad last night and will be a like for like swap with Blackadder except he can play lock as well. I think they’ll go with Clarke at 11 (impact), Reiko at 13 (as other options are out of form and his potential is obvious) and RTS will be there as a back up 12 with Tupea starting. Havili’s just not an international 12. They’ll probably start Barrett as well against a tough forward pack which Mounga doesn’t really have a great record against. I’d really like to see Jordan given a shot at fullback but Foster has said that he’s building combinations this year so I don’t see that or a lot of bolters, so guys like Grace and U-Jenson will probably not make it. Hopefully no major injuries in the final. Love the analysis though even if I don’t agree with it.

In the end positive rugby beat negative. And that’s good for the game. Brumbies seem to only be able score from the opposition 22. And when they do they are pretty unstoppable. They’ve got great defence. Hence The Blues played for field positive for a lot of the game. Brumbies were heavily penalised as they were constantly infringing.

There is no better 13 in the NZ game atm on form. ALB is slowing down and was found wanting in the World Cup semi and Goodhue is finding his feet and looks a better 12 option with his direct style and ability to set up his faster outsides (Like Rieko). All others have no international experience. Baylyn Sullivan is looking like our future 13 but is not ready yet. Speaking of the WC semi picking Bridge over Reiko was a massive selection error. I know you’re not going to like this but on current form both Ioane brothers will probably start against Ireland in the first test.

Explain to me why the All Blacks' 13 jersey is a done deal?

Jordie’s lack of pace really showed there

Never understood why we only ever played like that in game 1 of the Lions.
