Ireland so impressive as a team, playing together, knowing each other’s game. They seemed to be in each other’s head.
You could see the constant communication between players, just checking in.
SA were awesome too, but it just looked like they were trying some new things at times that weren’t as exceptionally executed. It was a real battle.

REACTION: 'In your head!' - Irish fans celebrate epic win with rousing rendition of 'Zombie' after Boks botch job

What I’m questioning is the focus on physicality. So much is said about it with regards to SA. There’s more to the game…

COMPLETE RWC teams week 3: Eddie makes three changes, Wales skipper misses out, Farrell back for England

I was actually referring to the point of view that is everywhere in the press and social media. SA have been given a reputation. I don’t hear anyone calling the Aussie pack ‘the bomb squad’.
Why do they have that reputation? Well, I think it is because they are dominating.

My thoughts exactly-last time it looked ugly until McReight came in off the bench and Hooper moved over

Wallabies CONFIRMED: Gordon benched as Eddie banks on Ben Donaldson, star returns for do-or-die RWC clash

And yet Valentini was penalised. I don’t think we can tackle and pilfer some structure though.

ANALYSIS: Why the Wallabies' breakdown woes could be helped from outside their own camp

My opinion was not targeting the bench actually, it was in response to the overwhelming commentary about the size of their pack as and its success.

I really think McReight is being under appreciated. He adds balance and consistency to the back row. Some assist for him to pilfer and do his job would be good.

You say the back row should hold their head in shame, but watching the game it doesn’t appear that they were that bad. It seemed like our whole structure was out done.

If SA win the cup, and the view is they do so by blowing the opposition off the park with their force of forwards, what will that mean for Rugby? No doubt SA will be proud, and rightly so, and the rest of the rugby world will be impressed, but for how long?
Currently, school aged children tend to be protected with oversized kids (for their age) moved up an age group.
For kids watching rugby in the adult world, doesn’t this send confusing messages. I’m not saying young kids should be playing against bigger players, but I do think that often interest is lost when your opponents physically prevent you from having any chance.
If SA physically dominant world rugby teams to the point where no one else can realistically compete, will they be admired for long? Be careful what you wish for Springboks.

Here we go!! Feeling some positive vibe. Not sure why, but I’ll take it and enjoy the good feeling. Losing TT and Skelton last week as too much of a shock. Things will be better this week!

Exclusive: Wallabies set for fly-half switch in do-or-die World Cup Test against Wales

Thank you for your article. I agree.

The uncomfortable truth: Whether under Rennie or Jones, the Wallabies just aren't good enough

Totally agree.

COMMENT: Eddie must be axed if he can't beat Wales - or the game will be in deep trouble in Australia

I really feel the loss of so many players to injury was a killer. It’s not just that we don’t have the depth, it’s that we don’t have runs on the board with player combinations. There’s been so much change all the time, even going back to Cheika’s time. With Tate, Will and TT out, it just was too much.
All those saying Quade should be there, can you really say he would have been the answer? He was struggling in the RC. And while M Hooper is a great player with a ton of experience, he wasn’t solving any of our breakdown issues either.
Can we just try hanging on to players, and Eddie, and just try to build a team that actually gets some runs on the board AS A TEAM. Too many errors in this game I think came from not knowing how to play together when scenarios are played out.

The horror five minutes that put Wallabies' World Cup on life support as Eddie's huge 10 call falls flat

Defence will be key. Where is our defence?

Wallabies CONFIRMED: Key Wallabies duo out, Frost back and hooker swap for 'most important match of World Cup'

Maybe it will come down to the need for White as a goal kicker.

Wallabies bolter has played just one Test - but picking him over veteran would stick to Eddie's new 'mantra'

I worked with the great M Hawker many moons ago. I wonder what he thought of our fullback.

And did MF get any wrong in his previous test?

Revealed: The bloody ear that has proved a Rugby World Cup headache as Wallabies seek lineout fix

Matt F was great around the park and looked good in scrums. He’s known for an accurate throw in line outs. Has been brilliant this year.
Skelton was amazing and really took the lead.

Player ratings: Skelton, Tupou Wallabies' best despite Donno's day out in World Cup opener

Good points to remember!
It will be interesting to see where things lie after the first round.

Clinical and competent: How Wallabies can make perfect RWC start

Results maybe meaningless, but it will affect their confidence.

And the French were wearing white!!

That’s a really interesting observation. Maybe the intercept knock on penalty needs to stay?

Allez, Allez! All Blacks suffer first RWC pool loss as France make huge statement, Fozzie remains upbeat

This is not good for the AB’s confidence-2 losses in a row.

I feel very worried with AK missing.
