Even though a doggy supporter I always loved watching him play. I hope he can recover enough to do himself justice. A real champion who hated losing.
A farewell to Dan Hannebery
As a rusted on dogs supporter I lament the current situation at Whitten oval.
Players aren’t feeling the love just like the supporters.
I was at the game on Saturday and saw a group of players just going through the motions.
No enjoyment , in fact some didn’t even look like they wanted to be there, I see that same level of despondency in the sponsors as well as they aren’t feeling the love from the management.
We have the talent but unless the young players are enjoying playing there , we will continue spiraling down the plug hole. You cannot tell me that Mitch Wallace , Lin Jong and Josh Dunkley aren’t good enough as players.
Why is Tom Campbell running around for Footscray when we don’t have a ruck man. We had Josh Dunkley going up in the Ruck .
Unless some one or something changes at the top, (both management and coaching) we will go back to bad old days as cellar dwellers.

I wouldn’t worry about Brad Lynch. Next year he will play every game he is fit for. A star in the marking. Fergus has the footy smarts and just needs a little time. His endeavour is faultless.
