Those nosebleed seats are available in stadiums that are at 98% capacity… Supply & Demand… hard to charge a fortune for a ticket when no one wants to actually go…

‘Big cost for families to keep turning out’: Marnus admits crowded schedule turning fans away

> As of November 6, they were citing an average of 18.7 millions viewers per match.’
That is very very incorrect.
Clearly says a cumulative match average of 18.7m. That is the average of all matches added up.

Its been a fun RLWC but how wrong you are is hilarious.

By the numbers, RLWC a success: Blowouts a teething problem as all sports expand their footprint

Melbourne and Manly obviously do because they’ve been taking a home game to Brisbane long before Magic Round was a thing.

Nine surefire ways to decide who says bye bye to Magic Round next year

Yet they are still willing to sell a home game for Magic Round.

I say neither. GP has issues with it becoming a penalty shootout and a draw just leaves you with a void.
The best solution is 10 mins of ET (5mins each way). Does anybody remember the first time this was tried in 2016? https://www.nrl.com/draw/nrl-premiership/2016/finals-week-2/cowboys-vs-broncos/. If at the end of 10mins its still a draw, then call it a draw. This is good for the fans getting more bang for their buck and good for the media getting more eyes on footy.
Amazing game of football and the best part is that the teams get punished for failing to close out the game in normal time.
If people want to give points to a loser and make every game worth the same, easiest way is as per the below:
– Normal Time Win – 4 points
– Extra Time Win – 3 points
-Draw -2 points
– Extra Time Loss – 1 point.
Normal time loss – 0 points.

Should NRL keep golden point or go back to the old draw board? Hard to split difference

Craig Bellamy – Spit Roast
Ricky Stuart – Beef Stew
Ivan Cleary – Chicken Omelette (mother and child cooked together)
Madge – Well Done Rib Eye
Trent Robinson – Coq au vin
Anthony Griffin – Any white fish, caught on a fishing rod

Sacred garments and fashion faux pas: The 2022 NRL jersey review

I have no idea why the raiders moved away from what is their ‘heritage’ jesey this year. That is great. The home and away are severely lacking in Green Machinery

Sacred garments and fashion faux pas: The 2022 NRL jersey review

Could be improved with a subtle nod to the Pepsi years by removing the top white hoop below the crests and replacing with a red and blue hoop imo. There is something about that combo that works when it shouldn’t, just like the OG Panthers all sorts jersey

Storm would have rivalries with Broncos, Manly & Redcliffe if this were to happen. It would involve a bit of working out, but I’m sure it would be possible.

NRL two-conference model should never see light of day: Two halves don't make a right

Hows that different to a finals spot? Or top 4 spot for that matter? And I dont see how divisions work short term either considering we are probably another 20-30 years away from reaching 24 teams

NRL two-conference model should never see light of day: Two halves don't make a right

I wouldn’t mind if they used conference style for scheduling purposes only (but with 1 full ladder)

Works at 18 teams, considering a 22 game season play every team once, plus 5 teams twice.

Each team has 3 rivalry teams they always play 2 games against every year (for example Broncos would be Cowboys, Titans and Storm), plus they play 2 other teams that finished near them on the ladder the previous season.

There would be a bit of shuffling on those last 2 teams but should work out fairer.. there will always be irregularities in the Strength of Schedule, but this would ideally strike a balance between fairness and commercial viability.

It’s pretty easy to see why the SQ Crushers were crushed, when they were stealing $$ from the Big Brother Broncos. The were wiped from media coverage for the good of New Ltd back pocket.

The rugby league club graveyard: The 1997 clean-out (Part 4)

As far as I can see it was Flights & Accomodation for all seasons.

Paying for all the air fares of the other teams to fly across the country can’t have helped.

I’d rather Extra Time (5, maybe 10 mins each way) – its punishment for both teams for not finishing it off in real time.

Fool's gold: The NRL must change its competition points

I was a bit Agahst if I am honest at that. But then look at his figures since the start of last summer. 20 wickets from 12 innings. Economy of 6.3, Average of around 15 and a strike rate of 14.

Matthew Wade secures Test place as Australia scramble to victory

Speaking respectfully you’d find it hard to find any non-local players that would be willing to relocate there. Not sure if the current PNG squad would have the ability to compete week in/week out at an NRL level.

'Tis the season to be silly: Let's talk NRL expansion

Easts played twice at the WACA in the 90s. Both times away. In a 1993 15-10 loss to the Raiders and a 1994 28-8 lost to North Sydney. . Parra (2), Canterbury (1), Manly (1), Penrith (1) and Canberra (2) all took games there in the early 90s before the Reds hopped onboard.

One wonders if you’re ever off the clock in a high profile career.

> Rabbs has gone a few years too long. He forgets names of players & at times makes no sense.

The only evidence you need for this is his call in the Grand Final where he changed the pronunciation of Vunivalu a minimum of 3 times during his intercept try including once where he teetered onto Vindaloo.
