Stripping riders of their results is only fair but in the example of Cadel at the 2007 Tour when he finished behind Vino and Levi in the two ITT’s he has only officially been awarded victory in stage 13 suggesting its a very murky endeavor.
An open letter to the UCI - strip everyone or no one
The French Senate was set to announce its findings into 1998 Tour samples on the day of the Alpe de Huez stage. Jens Voigt was one of the riders who lobbied the senate to postpone the results till after the Tour. Jaja was one of the riders pinged prior to the Tour but there looks to be many more names that will be announced. On that note, UCI President Pat Mcquaid has said that if Pantani had tested positive, he would be stripped of his win. He later rescinded that comment, stating that in fact he couldn’t do such a thing. So he wrote a letter to Pantani’s parents apologizing for the gaffe.
Perhaps all the rabble about Froome could be directed to riders in the peloton from the EPO era who have kept mum since Armstrong opened his mouth in January. Bjarne Riis is one man who has been very quiet.

So Impey collects yellow and Greipel takes home his fifth Tour stage.
Thanks for joining us and thanks in particular to Chad for covering the first hour. The stage was flat but the mistral added intrigue but the talk of the stage will be the first African to wear yellow.
Night all and see you soon
