Bangladesh are up 2-0 in the five-match T20 series against Australia and will be looking to wrap up the series tonight. Join The Roar for live scores from 10pm (AEST).

Australia showed improvement with the bat in the second T20, but their execution in the final six overs was way off the mark as they finished with a below-par 121 in their allocation of 20 overs.

Mitchell Marsh continues to score runs at number three, which is a positive sign for Australia. However, both Marsh and Moises Henriques threw away their starts and there were no set batsmen for Australia in the death overs.

Should Australia bat first again, one of their set batsmen cannot throw away their start regardless of the situation. With Australia’s middle order susceptible on slower surfaces, they have to have a set batsman to bat as deep as possible – even if that means scoring a run a ball until the 19th over begins.

Despite being 2-0 up, Bangladesh’s openers will want to improve on their showings from the first two games. Mohammad Naim has faced 42 deliveries in the series, yet has only scored off under 40 per cent of those balls, putting unnecessary pressure on his partner Soumya Sarkar, who has unsurprisingly struggled to do well on slower wickets in Dhaka, to catch up with the run rate.

Both players will be looking to show more intent with the bat and give Bangladesh a better start for their middle order to cash in on in the latter stages.

Both teams have bowled well and neither side will tinker with their bowling line-up. However, ESPN Cricinfo Bangladesh correspondent Mohammad Isam reported Mitchell Starc bruised his hip during the second T20 but should be fine for the third T20.

Should he miss out, then Mitchell Swepson should replace Starc while Ben McDermott may replace Alex Carey at the top of the order.

There are scars within the Aussie batting line-up on how they approach their batting on slower wickets with not much pace. Unless a fresh, flat wicket is put up, Bangladesh come into the third T20 as favourites as they should end up as victors to take an unassailable 3-0 lead.
