Clinical. That’s the best way to describe Australia’s performance so far. On a sub-par wicket, the Aussie spinners have gotten the job done, while the batting lineup have done just enough to ensure they do not have to chase a triple-figure total in the fourth innings.

Australia will be looking towards Travis Head to get rid of any nerves with a quick start and not give India a sniff of a comeback.

India’s batting effort was woeful from the first day, after Rohit Sharma thought it was smart to charge against the spin when Matthew Kuhnemann was turning it square.

Bar some fight from Cheteshwar Pujara in the second innings, India have not applied themselves with the bat at all. If they are to miraculously win the Test, Sharma has to smartly use his bowlers, especially Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin.

We have seen 13 wickets fall in the first session of the Test in just two days of play so far. Could the early morning start help the Indians in the first hour of day three? Only time will tell.

However, Australia should win from here by at least five wickets.
