It’s the final game of the T20 World Cup Super 12s as India take on Zimbabwe at the MCG. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 7pm (AEDT).
India have their destiny in their own hands. Win, and they top their group and face England at the Adelaide Oval. Lose, and it could get messy should their net run rate fall below Pakistan or Bangladesh.
The Indians need skipper Rohit Sharma to fire desperately, as he is struggling for timing even after a fifty against the Netherlands. The bowling has been top-notch, although the spin duo of Axar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin need to provide more wickets in the middle overs.
Zimbabwe have had a memorable tournament this T20 World Cup and will want to end on a high. The Zimbabweans haven’t had the most complete performance with the bat yet, and will bank on their top order to nullify India’s seamers before cashing in later in the innings.
The bowling has been steady, but the ground fielding needs to improve if they want to stand a chance here.
