Round seven of NRL action begins in Brisbane as the Dolphins take on South Sydney Rabbitohs at Suncorp Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 7.50pm AEDT.

The high flying Dolphins created history after conjuring up their first victory in a Queensland derby last week against the Cowboys. Sitting comfortably at fourth early into the season, Wayne Bennett will want his boys to continue their great start and continue causing shockwaves in the NRL.

Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow and Jamayne Isaako are playing arguably the best footy in their careers so far, and are definitely the two key players for the Dolphins. Skipper Jesse Bromwich is back from illness, while Jarrod Wallace will miss the clash due to concussion protocols.

The Rabbitohs have had an inconsistent season so far, failing to win two matches in a row this season so far. Latrell Mitchell turned it up for his 150th NRL game, but he will need to match that level once again if he is to get one over his opposition fullback and help the Rabbitohs stick to a winning streak.

The Rabbitohs will be buoyed with the inclusion of Alex Johnston and Jai Arrow in the starting team, improving the Rabbitohs team available.

Prediction

The game will be won in the halfback battle between Isaiya Katoa and Lachlan Ilias. Katoa has not had the start to first grade rugby league he would have liked, but the potential is there to fire as he continues to progress. Ilias showed great resilience last year and got back to some form last week. With the way the Dolphins have been going this season alongside the Rabbitohs not having traveled interstate this year before this clash, I am backing the Dolphins to get it done. Dolphins by 8.
