Round 19 of the NRL season continues this afternoon as the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles host the Gold Coast Titans at Lottoland. Join The Roar for live scores and a blog of the match, starting from 3pm (AEST).

This match has no bearing on the finals, but there is plenty of pride on the line this afternoon with the winner jumping ahead on the ladder with only one match remaining.

After a run of losses, the Sea Eagles finally collected two points last week after a 32-20 victory over the Bulldogs. Manly showed fighting spirit to come back strongly after conceding an early lead.

Plenty will rest on the shoulders of Daly Cherry-Evans again, whilst Manly’s much-vaunted front row of Addin Fonua-Blake and Marty Taupau will be keen to get on top of their counterparts.

In a big boost for Manly, Tom Trbojevic and Reuben Garrick have been named in the reserves and becoming increasingly likely to play. Fonua-Blake is in some doubt, with Taniela Paseka likely to start if injury does rule him out.

The Titans have been impressive in recent times and are looking for four consecutive wins for the first time since 2014. They did well to hold out an improving Broncos outfit 18-6 last round.

Jamal Fogarty and Ash Taylor are both in good form, and it’s no surprise that the Titans’ surge coincided with the return of AJ Brimson from injury. Brimson has been causing defensive lines plenty of headaches.

Kevin Proctor returns from suspension and replaces the injured Beau Fermor, whilst Tanah Boyd takes Erin Clark’s spot on the bench. Brian Kelly has been named in the reserves and is a chance to play.

Prediction
This is a difficult one to tip, with the home game and the potential return of Tom Trbojevic big positives for Manly.

However, Justin Holbrook has done some good things with this Titans team and they are playing some great football.

I think they will upset the Sea Eagles.

Gold Coast Titans by six points.
