The NRL continues tonight with one of game’s great rivalries, the Parramatta Eels against the Manly Sea Eagles, set to play out again at Bankwest Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores and a blog of the match, starting from 5.30pm AEST.

Both semi-finalists last season, Parramatta and Manly were expected to feature again this year and that seems to be the case, at least thus far.

Parramatta were impressive against the Broncos, running out 34-6 winners. The increase in pace of the game worked for the Eels.

Reed Mahoney was creative at hooker in a pack that overcame its more fancied rivals in Brisbane.

This opened up space for the Eels, with Mitchell Moses, Clint Gutherson and Dylan Brown all having big games.

The Eels go in unchanged tonight.

The Sea Eagles were just as convincing in Round 3, dismantling the Bulldogs 32-6. Tom Trbojevic was in great form, scoring two of the team’s seven tries.

Addin Fonua-Blake ran a game-high 216 metres, with him and Martin Taupau forming the NRL’s best front-row pairing.

Manly have also named an unchanged line-up.

Prediction
Recent history suggests the Eels are the favourites, winning eight of their last ten matches against the Sea Eagles.

We’ll learn a lot about these two teams tonight as to where they sit in the pecking order for 2020.

I’m leaning towards the Eels in a close one.

Parramatta Eels by six.
