The Melbourne Super Round continues as the Hurricanes take on the Queensland Reds as part of Round 10 of Super Rugby Pacific at AAMI Park, Melbourne. Join The Roar for live scores and coverage from 7:45pm AEST.

It’s a good news, bad news situation for the Reds as they look to continue their form in Super Rugby Pacific and take on their first Kiwi side of the season.

In the pack, Brad Thorn has been able to bring back Harry Hoopert and Taniela Tupou who will add crucial power in both the set piece and in the loose against the Canes.

However in the backs, the Reds will be missing both James O’Connor and Jordan Petaia as both struggle with injuries. JOC is a huge loss for the Queensland side and with his replacement being the inexperienced Lawson Creighton, the Reds are going to have play a different game plan to what they would have originally planned.

The Hurricanes will arrive in Melbourne after a very tense and tight one point win over the Highlanders in the last round. They’ve made just a few changes with Kianu Kereru-Symes starting at hooker, Aidan Morgan in at fly half and Peter Umaga-Jensen in at inside centre.

This means that Jordie Barrett will return to his usual position of full back after an impressive series of games in the centres. Many felt he was going to be out of place in the midfield but the strong running Jordie impressed with his power and distribution leading to many wonder whether we could see him in an All Blacks jersey in the centres this season.
