GreenEDGE’s Michael Albasini wins Tour of Catalonia

    Switzerland’s Michael Albasini, riding for the Australian GreenEdge team, has won the Tour of Catalonia.

    Albasini, winner of the first two stages, finished 1min 30sec ahead of Spain’s Euskaltel rider Samuel Sanchez.

    Sunday’s seventh and final stage, a 119.8km ride between Badalona and Barcelona, was won by Frenchman Julien Simon of the Saur-Sojasun team.
