How did Rebels scrape past Brumbies?

Well, there you go. Most said that the Rebels wouldn’t win a game for the year and have done so in only their second game. No matter what you think of the referee, the Brumbies should never have let the Rebels stay so close.

Reading the stats online (I wasn’t able to watch the game) you would think that the Brumbies should have romped home. So whatever the Rebels did in defence, it must have worked.

I would love to hear from those who were either at the game or managed to watch it. How did the Rebels do it?

I know that the penalty at the end decided the match, maybe unfairly. But how were the Rebels able to stay so close?
