The Monday night miracles continue. First it was Cronulla beating St George, then the North Queensland Cowboys thrashed the Melbourne Storm 34-6, in a score no-one saw coming.

In front of a small, loyal crowd of 9,554, in less than ideal weather conditions, the dedicated were rewarded with an awesome all-round team effort.

Although I listened to it on the radio through Triple M, the Cowboys were a far superior team than the one I saw last week against the Knights. The young blood of Ray Thompson, Tariq Sims, and Kalifa Fai-Fai Loa all stood out, with Sims bagging a try.

Ashley Graham scored two tries and could have scored three if he didn’t botch one. Sure, he made some errors, but he was great majority of the time.

JT and Bowen were pure magic, while Dallas Johnson was not only a tackling machine, but he made his fair share of meters, along with Matt Scott and the other forwards, who contributed greatly.

After being burned by false hope after the round one win over the Broncos, it feels like a clean slate again, with a motivated team willing to give it their all. If they keep that attitude, along with the fantastic talent, the Cowboys are a top 8 possibility.
