Your votes are in after round 16 of the Super Rugby season. The results have been tallied, so let’s review the Wallabies form team from round one through to round 16. Note: it is accumulative.
As requested, the adjusted score has been posted against each player. A raw score of 10 equates to a 3, a 9.5 to a 2.5, a 9 to a 2 and so on.
The cumulative results mean the form team is:
01 Robinson (score 3.09)
02 Polata-Nau (score 10.04)
03 Slipper (score 2.00)
04 Sharpe (score 4.30)
05 Horwill (score 4.75)
06 Higginbotham (score 4.19)
07 Robinson (score 5.35)
08 Samo (score 4.00)
09 Genia (score 11.35)
10 Cooper (score 12.19)
11 Ioane (score 6.98)
12 O’Connor (score 7.12)
13 Ashley-Cooper (score 3.88)
14 Gerrard (score 3.18)
15 Beale (score 7.77)
16 Moore (score 0.83)
17 Dunning (score 1.67)
18 Pyle (score 3.25)
19 Pocock (score 4.50)
20 Burgess (score 4.13)
21 Mortlock (score 3.13)
22 McCabe (score 3.08)
The top five players in order are
1 Cooper
2 Genia
3 Polata-Nau
4 Beale
5 O’Connor
(Note: I have removed Mitchell (score 5.65) from the team because of his season-ending injury)
Note on reserves:
Of the remaining props, Dunning, Daley and Kepu are very close, the rest are negative.
Despite playing more games, Daley and Kepu had both positive and negative games and hence, almost by default, Dunning is ahead.
