Once the Blues winger found open space, there was no stopping putting her side two tries up in the first half.
Penrith captain Petero Civoniceva is set to return to the Brisbane Broncos after securing a release from the final year of his NRL contract with the Panthers.
The 35-year-old Test and Queensland Origin prop has signed a one-year deal with the Broncos for 2012, likely seeing out his playing career with the club where it started.
Civoniceva met with club’s general manager Phil Gould last week and indicated his desire to return home to Brisbane to be with his family.
Civoniceva is currently in his fourth season at the club, having switched from the Broncos after the 2007 season following 10 seasons with them.
The move back to Brisbane had been speculated about over the last few weeks and was confirmed on Tuesday morning.
Gould said in a statement: “The Panthers understand the reason behind Petero’s decision and feel it would be unwise to stand in his way.
“Petero has been tremendous for the Panthers.
“He has given great service to the club, the community; not to mention outstanding leadership to our team. His influence at Penrith will be evident long after he’s gone.”
Civoniceva has played 45 Tests for Australia and 30 State of Origin games for Queensland.
