The Sydney Sixers travel to the Beautiful Adelaide Oval to take on the in-form Strikers in an intriguing Round 4 BBL clash. We will have all the scores and live comments from 7:30pm (EDT).

The Strikers (2-1) are coming off an impressive performance to defeat the Thunder by 51 runs in Sydney on Thursday night.

Granted the Thunder are not rocking the BBL world right now, but it was an important confidence-booster for a team that suffered a heartbreaking one-run defeat at the hands of the Heat last week.

Adelaide has plenty of firepower in their hitting arsenal. Nathan Reardon has spanked more sixes than anyone in the BBL this year, and in Kieron Pollard the strikers have a man who often subscribes to the “more room in the air” method of batting. The Sixers’ bowling will be sorely tested.

The Strikers also have a good balance in the increasingly influential bowling side of 20/20. Shaun Tait and young firebrand Kane Richardson ripped through the Thunder on Thursday, and will look to pepper the Sixers’ top order early on.

But it looks like a night for the spinners, with the Strikers looking to counter the Sixers’ strong company of tweakers by bringing in Brad Young to partner captain Johan Botha as the slow ball specialists.

The Sixers (1-2) are coming off two straight losses, and things don’t look like getting any easier in Adelaide against an in-form batting line up. The Sixers are a terrific side and have talent to burn, but the inconsistent scoring in recent efforts must be a concern. Look to young guns Moises Henriques and Stephen O’Keefe to kick-start their spluttering batting form.

Bowling wise there is little doubt they boast one of the more experienced and diverse lineups in the BBL. Sunil Narine and Jeevan Mendis have had slow starts, but combining with Steve O’Keefe they form a talented trio of slow bowlers. On a slower Adelaide deck it could be a night when the imports shine.

BBL attendances have been down recently, but with two teams full of exciting talent there are high hopes for a big Sunday evening crowd.
