JackJumpers' NBL title was special - but where does it sit among Tasmania’s top ten sporting moments?
It’s a pretty good time to be a Tasmanian sports fan right now. After years in the sporting wilderness with not much to celebrate,…

Misc. thoughts
• This card is shaping up to be a sensational non-PPV card: no title ramifications but lots of exciting fights.
• Both Hunt and Silva will be looking to crack the top-10 heavyweight rankings with a decisive victory here. Personally, I don’t see it going the distance.
• While the main event will surely sizzle, if I were a betting man I would place my wagers on Te Huna vs ‘Shogun’ as the potential Fight of the Night.
• My bet for Knockout of the Night would have to be Palelei vs Barry. Only two words to describe this one – don’t blink!
• It’s nice to see the UFC filling the card out with Aussie talent and giving them a chance to shine on home turf. In particular, Rob Whittaker will be looking to return to form after his loss to Court McGee in August.
• Coming off his 14-second knockout win over Vinny Magalhaes, Perosh has a huge opportunity on his hands against Bader. A win here could land Perosh a top-10 opponent and allow him to climb up the ranks. We may also see Submission of the Night come out of this one.
